It debuted with 657K streams on Spotify in its first week, globally. So 500K in the US is way more than I expected.

It definitely is. But certs in Australia are not automatic. I'm Good (Blue) is not even Gold yet despite being a huge smash.

Over 12 million streams for Hold Me Closer there so far, on Spotify alone and without remixes. It was #1 on iTunes for ages, still Top 20 as we speak, plus Top 30 on Apple Music (and has been since its release except for Christmas time).
