12K sold in 6 months, so 24K per year. Must be around 597K now. Probably Platinum next month.
Let alone it's rising in streams so it should be next month for sure! Another hit on our hand

I hope it close to gold in Denmark and Italy as well, it has to since it’s streams are strong like some of her classics
Denmark is one of Britneys biggest markets for instance My Only Wish (This Year) sold 180,000 (2x platinum). Reminder a Christmas song with no promotion and no music video did that in Denmark

I think most of its streams come from Asia and the UK. The song is a huge classic in the Philippines.

In the US, for example, it's not that big. Only 600K+ units sold - that's half of YDMC despite having more streams overall both on Spotify and YouTube.

        • ^ Good to know that, but if any of her classic are close to certs in the automatic countries, I believe it’s the closest one, probably due for certs in germany as well

*crazy has sold more pure and digital copies through the years at least half more than what sometimes did…
the 600k of sometimes is based mostly from streams which is great as well since the song became a memorable song from her since 2017…

Something that I need to bring that that bothers me a little bit. Back in July 2022 I made a sales estimations of Sometimes and I got 1,1 million and I was completely shocked when I saw Sometimes sold 600K copies because Sometimes has way more streams on Spotify and YouTube. I guess it means Sonetimes is stronger on other markets.

Another thing is we need to ask Chartdata for a specific version when it comes to You Drive Me Crazy, Overprotected and Boys. I remember in this thread it said Overprotected has sold 150K digital copies if I'm not wrong and now Chartdata report it as 125K with streams.

              • Did sometimes massively benefit from BOMT being so huge as I don’t really remember it being massive in the UK but it’s coming for platinum!

Sometimes peaked at #3 on the UK singles and #1 on UK indie. Sometimes wasn't as big in the United States but it has grown a lot over years. It has sold 620,000 units as of December 29, 2022. 179,000 digital downloads and 441,000 streams = 620,000 units. It only needs 380,000 units to hit Platinum which is 57,000,000 streams in the United States!

                    • BTMYH definitely felt bigger at the time and yes it was a number one as a 4th single from a hugely successful album which is amazing and rare! I have no idea what it sold though!

                        Also I'm Not a Girl..

                        Pure sales:

                        September 30, 2010
                        I'm Not a Girl, Not Yet a Woman - 122,000

                        February 13, 2011
                        Not A Girl, Not Yet A Woman - 129,001

But only 85,000 SPS according to ChartData, despite digital sales alone being 129K more than 12 years ago, and of course, the song has 50M streams on Spotify and 159M on YouTube.

Then my question is why does ChartData show SPS for Overprotected and I'm Not A Girl? I assume it's not their fault but it's their sources which is Billboard. This does explain why we haven't gotten INAGNYAW sales when a user on Badmediakarma leaked the entire sales that included all of her single sales besides INAGNYAW. I would assume it has 150,000 AT LEAST and 86,000 SPS which would be = 236,000 units.

Not that I’m complaining, I declared it not once it one of my favourites songs from her but did something happened? Was sometimes added to some playlist?where is this (wonderful) rise comes from?

I have a question, if Overprotected sold 125K according to ChartData, how much did Overprotected sell in the past?

Another 100K update for Sometimes! At the end of the day, the song won. 144.5M streams on Spotify with solid 100K updates and 274M on YouTube also with 100K daily views - all for a song that peaked at #21 and was often seen as a flop. Meanwhile, there are #1 singles from that time pulling half the numbers.

Sometimes getting justice as it deserves! The fact that Sometimes sold 620,000 units is not alright because I thought it was platinum since 2021 but I was wrong.

Another thing I want to bring up is that when Britney's older songs get certified, will they certify Baby One More Time physical sales with digital+streams? I know with Michael Jackson's older songs they separated physical sales with digital+streams sales as two different certifications.
