As far as I know Britney Spears currently doesn’t even have a team of any kind. So who is going to push or pay for her certifications when there’s no one around to do so? Britney herself? I doubt she even knows how that process works or that she’s even interested in paying for that. Without a team it’s very likely she doesn’t get certified in long time.
”Hold Me Closer” might get certified Platinum in USA eventually only because Elton’s team will push and pay for it. But who’s going to push for “Circus”, “Femme Fatale”, “Gimme More”, etc, etc? No one!
Rock lives forever: Led Zeppelin . Metallica . Pink Floyd . Nirvana . Radiohead . Pearl Jam . Oasis . Iron Maiden . Nine Inch Nails
Approved Popstars: Michael Jackson . Madonna . Britney Spears . Beyoncé . Rihanna

I always find her certifications in Belgium funny and random…at the beginning anything she’s done was certified and then her team got tired and stopped..the only country where don’t let me be is certified and toxic isn’tLast edited by And then we kiss; Sat March 11, 2023, 18:27.

Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know:

Wallonia: 38-//-38-34-OUT
Stronger:
Flanders: 50-29-22-16-15-19-17-18-20-25-32-46-OUT
Wallonia: 38-17-16-14-19-20-17-18-23-27-28-29-OUT
The Flanders region is bigger than Wallonia, and their performance in the former is pretty similar but still.

Random, but I was watching this interview on YouTube and Britney was given an award for 300,000 copies sold of Oops!...I Did It Again in Belgium + the Netherlands
This was backstage during her stadium show in Arnhem in the Netherlands on Nov. 4, 2000.
According to ChartMasters, the album sold 180K in the Netherlands and 155K in Belgium as of 2019 for a total of 335K. That seems underestimated, considering Stronger and Don't Let Me Be the Last to Know hadn't even been released yet and it obviously sold a lot during the holidays.
After she was given this award, the album charted for 23 more weeks in the Netherlands and even returned to the Top 20 during the busy month of December (37-39-17-20-28-32-39-44-49-48-51-63-62-65-63-72-71-68-47-52-67-87-89-OUT).
And in Belgium:
Flanders: 32-39-39-32-33-31-35-44-44-37-29-34-33-37-41-42-46-44-47-//-49-41-44-//-50-//-50-48-OUT
Wallonia: 32-37-36-30-26-26-32-39-41-37-31-33-37-47-OUT
It was the 75th best selling album of 2001 in Flanders and #89 in Wallonia, so it clearly sold well that year too. I know this is minor but just wanted to point it out because it's yet another underestimation.

Hold me closer dropped bellow the top 50 and ended it’s official chart-run in Canada, wish it would be there for one more week but it officially became her single with the longest chart run there (along with S&S) with 27 weeks which is impressive as well
I really hope she’ll release something someday but if not, in the end of the day, hold me closer will be her last single ever, it was an amazing career closerespecially after the two flop albums with tons of mistakes…
#1 in Australia
#3 in Canada and UK (her longest chart run in the former)
# 6 in US
very nice achievement for the legend

Hopefully HMC will return next week once the Morgan songs fall, but if not, it's still tied as her longest charting song there and had an amazing run.

Hold Me Closer is higher than I thought! Platinum is coming
The previous figure (825K) was from Jan. 27 and this one (935K) from Mar. 10 most likely, s it’s still averaging nearly 20K per week.
Toxic has sold 200K since December 23

PromoSpears Excellent updates, all thanks to you! I cannot believe at Do Somethin - it was never promoted and still will be gold someday!
Toxic is exceeding everyone's expectation - it'll be her first diamond single in years. Hold Me closer platinum by this summer
