    * The record breaking album only had two singles which
both went #1 but a record is a record.
We love to see it miss Choley! I can't @ all of them being from 2003-04

Most number-one singles from a single album:
    Delta Goodrem – Innocent Eyes (2003-04) - 5
    Britney Spears – In the Zone (2003-04) - 3
    ABBA – ABBA (1975) - 3
    ABBA – Arrival (1976) - 3
    Kylie Minogue – Kylie (1988) - 3
    The Black Eyed Peas – The E.N.D. (2009) - 3
    Macklemore & Ryan Lewis – The Heist (2012/2013) - 3
    Taylor Swift – 1989 (2014-15) -3
    Drake – Scorpion (2018) - 3

Only four female albums have had spawned three #1 singles or more - In the Zone, 1989, Kylie and Innocent Eyes.

And to think she paid Australia / Oceania complete dust during the ITZ era (0 promo performances/appearances, no tour dates, etc) makes it all even more impressive.

Yeah, Australia was alway been loyal to her.Even songs like Not A Gurl,Boys,I love Rock N Roll and Do Somethin' got certified there. This shows how she's really undercertified there too...

      • Actually I‘m shocked “In The Zone” only peaked at #10 in Australia Her first and only #1 album was “Femme Fatale” there anyway.

#10 was low for her standards for sure, but at least it didn't miss the Top 10 like it was the case in the UK, Italy, Spain, etc. For comparison purposes, it debuted at #28 in Australia's closest neighbour, New Zealand. Peaked at #25 in April 2004 though, and remains both her lowest peak and debut in that country.

I read that she cancelled all international promo for the album in its release week, which might have affected its debuts. And it was a competitive month with P!nk, Michael Jackson, Kylie Minogue, Red Hot Chili Peppers, JAY-Z, Blink-182, No Doubt, etc. all releasing around the same time (plus all the local acts in each country).

But I think it's a little deeper than that. In the Zone was a very crucial era for Britney and it was her chance to prove herself as an adult artist. Her teeny bopper fan base had either grown up or moved on, and teen pop was dead and buried by 2003. Toxic and Everytime gave her enough credibility for a slightly older audience to spend their hard earned money on her album, which is why it ended up having more longevity than Britney in most countries.

In the zone seemed to have low peaks everywhere idk why. She became more of a singles artist after the Britney album

I wouldn't go that far, it just was off to a slower start but ended up selling on par with Britney in several countries and even outsold it in the UK, despite having only three singles.

              For example:
In New Zealand, it peaked in its 12th week
In the UK, it peaked in its its 34th week
In Portugal, it peaked in its 20th week
In Ireland, it peaked in its 12th week, then re-peaked in its 30th week

In Japan it was her first album to debut in the Top 3 as well and ended up outselling BOMT and OIDIA. The peaks weren't bad everywhere either, it debuted at #1 in France, #2 in Germany, etc.

                #40 “Matches”
                #44 “Mood Ring”

I have a few questions so if anyone here has a little more knowledge on the French charts, that'd be appreciated!

                - If I'm not mistaken, downloads weren't counted for the official chart until February 2011 - is this correct?
                - Circus, If U Seek Amy, Radar, 3 and Hold It Against Me did not have physical singles, therefore they weren't eligible to debut on the main chart. I'm not sure whether Piece of Me had a physical release or not. Is it okay to consider the digital peaks as official? Surely physical singles weren't really a thing by 2009-2011? I know Womanizer did 67K physicals but that was a huge smash.
                - Hold It Against Me managed to make the official chart and eventually peak at #31 because they merged both the physical and digital chart a few weeks after its release, correct?
                - The only reason Pretty Girls and Make Me managed to peak as high as they did despite being huge bombs was because the official chart was still based on pure sales at the time, correct? And streaming was already was the dominant metric in the country at that time. Can we actually consider those the actual peaks, then? Did they have a separate chart for streaming in 2015-16? If so, did either of those songs enter the chart?

and yes it’s an actual peak in France…
sadly slumber party didn’t enjoy from that and barely charted..
And you’re right about her singles from 2009-2011 the chart didn’t include digital sales which lead for low peaks and failure…
hiam is a great example since the song was played a lot during its release yet peaked really low…
Her FF era was a real smash in France…

Maybe the start of the Daylight Saving Time in Europe having an effect on Spotify's daily time frame?
