In the UK when songs get streams they are all given to the album that is charting highest on a particular week so basically all streams will be given to The Singles Collection from any track that is on it ( as opposed to streams from Toxic going to ITZ for example) So you can expect TSC to be on the streaming chart going forward as long as her streams stay the same or increase.

Well every artist's streams grow each year, due to the streaming format becoming more popular. Every year tens of millions of people join streaming so there will be a natural increase for all artists. But yes, certain Britney songs are increasing faster than just the expected increase--like Toxic, Oops, BOMT, Gimme More, and I'm sure some others. You have to take into account the % yearly increase due to more people streaming, and compare it to the % yearly increase of an artist's discography. I don't have the numbers to crunch right now, but it's something I'm looking into.Comment

catch22
Songs stream's differences vs a year ago.
"Gimme More", "Criminal" & "If U Seek Amy" have grown the most on current daily gains, by around 100% each. "I'm a Slave 4 U", "Womanizer", "Scream & Shout", "S&M (Remix)", and "I Wanna Go" have all grown at least 40%, with "Toxic" coming close at 38%.
36% of Criminal's total streams & 33.9% of Gimme More's total streams came from the last 366 days. We can see very healthy increases for the majority of her catalog.

Thank you for the data Instinct. I'll see if I can find updated numbers on the increase of streaming users, and Spotify's share of the market. Streaming is increasing quickly, and the demographic of people who use music streaming services is changing too. It was mainly young people at first, but now lots of boomers are switching to it as well. Just like what happened with movie streaming--Spotify is the Netflix of music streaming services.👍 1Comment

4 songs in 2022
1 song in 2023
After that we should see songs like You Drive Me Crazy (Album version), Slumber Party, Pretty Girls, Overprotected and Hold it Against Me reaching the mark between 2026-2028
of course we never know i some song will be revived or will fade into existenceComment

Plus I think a new Britney album should be album to pull off a 100M song if she plays her cards right (mainly the "comeback" card). Make Me managed to do it and that song got minimal support from radio and minimal promotion from Britney. The next lead song shouldn't have trouble hitting 100M in my opinion.👍 1Comment

Forgot about If U Seek Amy hitting 100 million this year. Love how both Circus and Femme Fatale are having a revival of some sort since that's the second half of her career. Queen of longevity!

Why doesn’t The Singles Collection re-enter the album chart if it’s charting on the streaming chart? I mean, aren’t charts completely driven by streaming these days?Comment

Nevermind by Nirvana is #10 on Vynil Chart and dont appear on the Streaming Chart, yet is #100 on the album chart... so pure sales must have some little power
besides, i believe the Streaming chart (most streamed albums) dont include the Album chart (actually SPS) rule which the 3 biggest tracks get its streams reducedComment

Well, Beyoncé I can understand, as she does much better on streaming. But Britney is outstreaming Shakira in the US and not that far off Pink, and it goes without saying that she also outstreams Xtina. She should definitely be as high as those three..
The thing is that songs like ...Baby One More Time, Toxic, Oops!...I Did It Again and Womanizer are the only songs of hers with good playlisting. Gimme More for example has pitiful playlist reach despite organically rising to nearly 200k daily streams a day. Same with Criminal, If U Seek Amy, I'm a Slave 4 U, Circus and Work Bitch.
