#2 in US with 716,438 streams and #40 globally with 1,557,727 streams (after few hours). Today, #1 in US with 5,953,134 streams and #1 globally with 16,103,849 streams Only Adele and Mariah had bigger 1 day streams (19,749,704 and 17,420,085). Thought it'd do 5-6 mln, but 16? Would not be surprised, if it crossed 20 mln overall (unfiltered)
Zayne was like John Lennon, but Harry is like Sir Paul McCartney. He will be the solo artist for the long hall.
I think he is going to be bigger than Justin Timberlake, he has the cross-generational impact, Bc he appeals to adults and middle-aged fans who loved 1D 10 years ago, and has newer fans who see his music consistently promoted and will identify him as an icon.
He is a bit camp like David Bowie and Prince, so he is always interesting.
I see him being a legend in 5 years, but for now is a certified icon.
With "As It Was," Columbia superstar Harry Styleshas officially broken two major records on Spotify; the streamer has announced that the single has now achieved the biggest single-day U.S. streaming total in the DSP's history, with 8.3m streams, surpassing Olivia Rodrigo's "drivers license." Additionally, it's now the year's most-streamed song globally in a single day, with 21.6m streams, a title most recently held by Anitta's "Envolver," with 8.6m streams in March.
As we reported earlier, "As It Was" is also killing it at other DSPs, while the video is racking up giant numbers on YouTube. The track is likewise blowing up at Pop radio, flying toward the top of the chart.
Is Harry's new one on track to be the biggest song of 2022? We wouldn't be remotely surprised.

You didn’t compare Zayn Malik to John Lennon … he’s not even the second most successful member from the band…

I meant that he went solo first and was a lone wolf, doing his own thing, while Harry is more like Paul who will have his long term solo career decades from today.

Who is the 2nd most successful member then?
George Harrison was the first Beatle to release a solo album but ok.
Niall is the second most successful from the band, yes Zayn started out stronger cause he was the first one to leave but his second and third albums bombed, Niall has had continued success into his second album.

Great. So either way, my point on Harry being the most successful and being in the same rank as most successful, like Paul McCartney is as a solo act is accurate.

Thanks.
Always easier when your main competition died 42 years ago but sure.

It’s not his fault the others in the band didn’t continue their success… remember, they all didn’t pass in the same year. He still had to compete with others.
