Those artists you mentioned are at the end of their careers, retired or haven't delivered a complete work for years. They are more than veterans clearly.
To be considered a veteran, does the artist need to be 80 years old and have a career of 60 years? Your statement has no logic whatsoever. An artist with a 25-year career is obviously already a veteran. Have common sense.
