Hot off a Top-20 debut with her fifth studio LP, The Loneliest Time (Schoolboy/Interscope), Carly Rae Jepsen has the internet on her side once again with the title track exploding at TikTok.
"The Loneliest Time" f/Rufus Wainwright was the second biggest song at TikTok U.S. last week, growing to 125k+ creations. The rapid growth generated nearly 80k videos within one week.
Fans are using the snippet from the song, where Jepsen proclaims, "I'm coming back for you, baby," very creatively in videos highlighting their decision making.
The TikTok action has led to a boost in activity for the song (up 216% in U.S. streams) and Jepsen's catalog, which has increased in streams by 10%.
