Stevyy is this an amazing week for Mariah in terms of streaming? Is that good for a 90's act , how is she doing compared to others

Mariah is the most streamed pre-streaming era female... (in most weeks out of the year). This year the top 3 according to Rolling Stone Magazine (and their streaming chart which is solely for the US though), were Britney / Mariah and Shakira. Mariah has reached the top 3 of the pre-streaming era females every single week of 2021 so far and for the past 6 weeks or so has been their weekly #1.

This week won't be Mariah's best week overall. It will be a good week though, but not her best. What is amazing... is that her top 4 songs will all surpass 1 million streams and only 1 one them will be a christmas song. So that is unprecedented.

In the coming weeks, leading up to christmas and the holiday season itself, Mariah will most likely add over a BILLION streams on Spotify with her catalogue of xmas and non-xmas music. AIWFCIY will (as it did last year) reach between 180 - 200 million streams alone. Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) will add 50 million in its own right. It's all looking very promising.

Her xmas strength probably makes her one of the 30 most streamed overall female acts on Spotify every single years. No other 90s or 80s act ranks even remotely close to that.

From January to around the end of August... Mariah & Madonna are usually doing the same kind of numbers on Spotify... both around 2,7 million daily. Madonna is her closest rival in that respect (Whitney would do a little more than that tho but she has passed on).

From the end of August to the end of January the following year, Mariah is probably doing an average of 10 million streams daily. That's Rihanna / Ariana level of streaming.

Looks like O Holy Night might creep into her top 30 at the end of this tracking week. This such a great season. On the October 1st update on Saturday, I predict HUGE new seasonal peaks for all of her Xmas music. Christmas Baby please Come Home could do anything between 20k-30k. AIWFCIY will surpass 200k daily.

This usually happens a couple times per year for some reason - probably server issues. Or maybe they’re doing some sort of maintenance. Hopefully they don’t merge Thursday and Friday bc I like to have individual numbers for each day.

i hate that. This is very unprofessional of Spotify. Still no update right now. It is the 3rd of October here and the last update that they were showing us was from September 29. Now, we have 3 days missing. I cannot recall them missing 3 consecutive days ever.

I think we can assume that they have now stopped updating their artists pages. The number of monthly listeners is still updating, but not the music anymore. I think this will take away a lot of the joy of Spotify and music forums.
