I can say this much:

On ATRL the other divas fans are calling her a 90s fad-one-hit-wonder, a Christmas meme who is tarnishing her legacy because she is focusing only on Christmas and that her non-Christmas music is totally, utterly and completely forgotten.

She is therefore losing any and all of these: XY vs Mariah better 2nd album or better music or more global threads... I love the more global ones the most bc the consensus is that Mariah Carey's career is local and that nobody outside of NYC would know of her.

I find these rants funny more than anything and annoying, but it is what it is.

Generally speaking, her non-Christmas music is not forgotten. My All, TMB and many of her lesser songs have had their best years yet, like Bye Bye or I Stay in Love or even Angels Cry Remix.

It's also not worth to import these troll-guments to UKMIX. Let them have their opinion and we have ours.

In conclusion: Her success is noticed by the others.

It's both songs merged. Spotify merged them, we do not know anymore what the Remix and the Original are doing individually. I find it sad tbh. But this way, her 2010 Xmas album has now also surpassed 120 million streams. I mean they deleted the 2010 AIW version from it which had 30 million streams pre-Xmas 2021. So, we lost 30 million worth of streaming and gained 50 million with the OS Remix.

It makes it difficult tho, to which album we should attribute OS now... to MCIIY or to the Xmas Special Soundtrack? The remix was bigger than the original OS, however, the song is credited as OS on Spotify, so I opted to put it as Oh Santa and give it to the MCIIY album.

The gap has grown now to over 200k streams daily on the weekend. This is quite formidible for Brenda.

This may be the first year in a while Mariah doesn't actually go #1 on any day on US Spotify.
