      • So she decreased...

-77.25% from TBDT to GL in four years
-59.75% from GL to AL in two years
-72.73% from AL to HAW in six years

Looks like a natural progression to me especially since she didn't have a proper hit in a long time and we moved into the streaming era.

I still wished she would have done bundles.

        • Her US downfall is quite dramatic though. 45K is too low.

At least she's been more consistent in other markets.

Her SPS numbers including pre-release units are around 120-130K though. The album is still moving around 500 units per week in the States.

            • It's late but I think that BMG have a plan to save the era or at least 'Feel' single. Dumb Blonde have really killed the hype about Head Above Water (album) and probably they want to capitalize around this religion theme again. Through the photos that Avril is posting is notable that the video have a huge budget so...

                  • The music video did nothing for me, I didn't really like it and was quite uneventful however the song is IMO the highlight of the album and era so I hope it does nice, a second entry on the Billboard Hot 100 would be great.

                      • Honestly, I'm not too surprised by her US numbers. The US has been her weakest market for over a decade. She's always been more of a global artist.

                            • She should do promo and tour theatre in the Europe with self-titled, she did good with GL. I am pretty disappointed that planed European promo has never happened. HAW really has potential in the Europe especially the UK

Ok, but don't forget the decrease in sales for all artists, nobody buys albums, not just Avril fans

Yeah, but this basically explains the bigger drop in percentage from AL to HAW now

I don't know, they probably merged both physical sales and SPS units. The album has sold more than 150K (121K on Netease and +30K on Xiami) digital copies and collected +20M streams on Xiami Music, but we don't have figures from the other big platforms. Anyway the overall era was successful in China with the album still top 10 on Netease digital store.
