Awesome! Lana should have it in the bag as she has better streaming and Tool has troubles with their (only) physical deluxe edition availability.

Wow she’s actually doing much better than expected considering she hasn’t really had a ‘hit’ this era

She has a great following. True fans. She always does well in streaming and sales, yet you don't see any Lana stans getting into fights with other stans. They're too busy with her music to have time for such pettiness.

                      NEW RELEASES: TOOL TIME

Tool will have the splashiest debut of the week, as their first album since 2006 comes out as a pricey and elaborate retail package. Meanwhile, Lana and Lil Tecca roll out.

                      Tool (Volcano/RCA) 240-260k total activity, 220-240k album
Lana Del Rey (Interscope) 75-85k, 50-60k
                      Lil Tecca (Galactic/Republic) 41-46k, 1k

Could Tool take the #1 spot on our next chart, surpassing the mighty Taylor Swift in her second week? Signs point to, um, maybe. Stay tuned.

LFL did 107k units / 80k pure sales so this is a big decline, but she‘s still doing incredible considering not having had a mainstream hit in ages.

I guess she will be behind Tool and Taylor, so her fifth Top3 album

Yeah, that's not a big decline at all as physical sales have plummeted in two years. At least she's stable on streaming. Hopefully she eeks out a k or two more on streaming. And she never does any promo, no performances. This is basically only her surefire fans.

Does anyone have opening sales for Honeymoon and Lust for Life in the UK? I’m sure they weren’t as high as NFR

                                              Honeymoon - 28k
                                              Lust For Life - 25k

'Norman ******* Rockwell' should be able to debut with similar numbers. Im curious about the German opening since she's experienced quite heavy drops from album to album there (~ 100k - ~ 30k - ~ 18k - ~ 10k).

I can see this album having legs, seems like mouth to mouth marketing will keep the album going.

Fantastic midweek figure in the UK!

She's getting amazing reviews for this album. Currently at 86 on Metacritic for example, which is huge for a release by a mainstream artist. This can help, but I'm not sure if it will.

The music is enormously well received both critically and publicly and there's also something else I can't quite explain, but I think the message will spread over the next few weeks/months for sure.

Its still shocking that she doesn't do any Promo her album could open quite a bit higher if she did something..

She did/does a lot of old school promo, much more than her previous era. Lot's of radio interviews and 3 high-profile (read, not shot with an iphone) videos. That's a lot for her.
