        • ASIB - Canadian Units (est)

          155.000 (2018 units)

And since ASIB figures above Billie's WWAFAWDWG? and Post's Hollywood's Bleeding (both 2x P in Canada - 160,000) on this year's Top Canadian Albums YEC:

Total: ~320,000 units (eligible for 4x Platinum).

And that's being modest, because it makes no sense that ASIB sells 155,000 in 13 weeks (2018) and only 165,000 in 49 weeks (2019).

Billboard's year-end chart started from mid-November though (the tracking period is Nov. 24, 2018, to Nov. 16, 2019), so part of those 13 weeks counted towards the 2019 year-end chart.

Just 5 weeks out of those 13 and that certainly wasn't the reason why ASIB beat Billie and Post at Canada's YEC this year. These 5 weeks wouldn't be useful if 2019 sales weren't good.

                              • I know I might sound like a broken record with this, but it really is SO SO SO frustrating to read here things like "Shallow is now her biggest song in this or that country" "Shallow is now the Xth biggest song of the decade/of all time in this or that country", "ASIB is the X best seller of the year"... and then see the certifications.

The fact that Shallow is Diamond eligible in Canada but it's only certified 2xPlatinum... that it's 5xPlat eligible in US but it's only certified Platinum, that's it's not certified at all in countries like Sweden or Switzerland despite being #1 and staying more than a year on chart...
The fact that the album is still 2xPlatinum in Australia, just Platinum in Canada… not certified in Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Mexico…

God, how can they be such a mess and not care at all???

                                • ^ I agree. But it's getting more and more frustrating when it comes to certifications overall. I feel like they're not as important for artists as they were a few years ago.

Fingers crossed we will get something in Switzerland around the Year-End. Labels often update lots of stuff in time for the Year-End countdowns over here.

But to be fair, Lady Gaga's whole discography is undercertified in Switzerland. Her whole "Joanne" era has no certification as well for example, and I think the album must be eligible for Gold and "Million Reasons" at least for Platinum.

With that said, I'm still amazed by the success of ARUTW in Switzerland. It's been so huge on the charts!

                                    • GaGa's certifications have been a lost cause in Australia since 2013. Artpop and Joanne aren't even certified Gold when by now they would definitely be eligible.

I don't care and y'all shouldn't either, haters will always look for something to mock even in the face of any success. They will only be a thing if you pay attention to the bullsh*t they say. These people have no arguments, they are envious and unloved. Abstract them.
