Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper :: The "A Star Is Born" OST Era
^
Nop. The #2 is in blue. It's a 2018 release. Those are its total sales.
As I posted, if we look at the list and do the math, I think the only album that's behind in that list that will move ahead for Billboard Albums Sales YEC is (obviously) Reputation.

I'm screaming it's so easy and difficult at the same time!
Exciting.
Edit: wait even if it's a new release it still sold more than ASIB and this list was with the last tracking week counting I think.

Re: Lady Gaga/Bradley Cooper :: The "A Star Is Born" OST Era
Quite impressed that ASIB managed to hold onto the Top spot in Australia this week despite the tough competition! It looks like it will be #1 again next week at this point too.
In what countries (main markets) you guys think the soundtrack can reach platinum?
US (of course)
Australia
France
Canada
..........
UK as well.
mhh 300k... let's hope so
It will finish the year probably with 240k or so, I think.
We have the DVD release, which usually helps OST, and hopefully some nominations/awards/performances at the Grammys and the Oscars.
It will obviously reach Platinum in UK.
Looks like the album has the potential to end in quite a few Anglophone countries' end of year chart's top 3 - probably along with Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' and 'The Greatest Showman'
Star is Born’ soundtrack for Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper helps increase Gaga’s weeks at No.1 to now ten overall weeks, moving her up on the list for ‘Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965 to 2018)’ from equal 77th to now equal 68th alongside other acts who have racked up ten weeks from three No.1 albums like Live, Missy Higgins and Bruce Springsteen, while on the same list but for this decade she is now outright seventh having broken away from her tie with One Direction (9 weeks from 4 #1’s).
I think it's Gold in Sweden by now and probably in other countries like Switzerland.
It should definitely be Platinum by now in Ireland. But there are no way to know Irish certifications anymore (as far as I know).
It's around 14k in Italy so it should reach Gold (25k) there too probably in January.
In Germany I think it's around 80k by now (although thematematician said it was above 100k last week according to his estimations).
So should be certified Gold there as well probably before year end.
And it should reach Platinum in France in some weeks. Same in New Zealand.
In how many of these countries will Universal bother to certify it, it's a different matter.
