              DECK THE TOP 20 (UPDATE)

We’ve got a tight chart battle for #1 this post-Thanksgiving week between Travis Scott, whose album is getting a lift from new D2C, and 6ix9ine, who dropped his set on Tuesday. Like California vote-counting, this one could go late, folks. And we’re still waiting for the tryptophan to wear off.

              1. Travis Scott (Cactus Jack/Grand Hustle/Epic) 60-65k
              2. *6ix9ine (Scumgang) 60-65k
              3. Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper (Interscope) 54-59k total activity, 31-34k albums
              4. Michael Bublé, Love (Reprise) 47-51k, 41-45k
              5. Michael Bublé, Christmas (Reprise) 44-48k, 17-20k
              6. Queen (Hollywood) 42-46k, 17-20k
              7. Pentatonix, Christmas Is Here! (RCA) 41-45k, 31-34k

                  And another week at #1.

Both the album and Shallow should be Platinum by now… Hopefully next week.

I think those numbers could be a bit high, but it must be at 100k or really close by now. So, yes, Gold in Germany.

It’s Platimum eligible in Canada since last week. Still not certified.
Gold eligible in US (Platimum in 2 weeks). Still not certified.
Platinum eligible in Australia tomorrow (I guess it won’t be certified tomorrow either).
Should be Gold by now in Sweden, Switzerland, Austria...

Don’t wanna start with Shallow, it’s even worse.

I don’t know if this is only Universal’s fault or her team not caring for updated certifications, but it’s frustrating seeing her catalog under certified in so many countries and now the OST smashing and not being certified either while so many other artists have their singles and albums certified like every month, as soon as they’re eligible.

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper fend off Take That for an eighth week at Irish Albums Number 1

Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper have stopped the likes of Queen, Little Mix, Gavin James, Michael Buble, Nathan Carter, Mumford & Sons and Twenty One Pilots in their reign at Number 1 on the Official Irish Albums Chart, and this week the pair add Take That to that list.

The Motion Picture Cast Recording to the Oscar tipped film was the best-selling album on physical and digital formats of the past seven days, and secures an eighth week at the top with a lead of 900 combined sales ahead of its nearest competition.

                              • Maybe Gaga's team will wait for January 2019 to apply for new certifications in quite a bunch of countries. Either way, her backcatalogue, especially her debut album, seems significantly undertcertified. So Nympho is right, maybe her label just doesn't care about it as much as the chart analysts do.

Those UK positions are last week’s.
                                      It’ll update in 20 minutes.

                                      Regarding your question:

                                      2011 Soundscan Year End
“Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" is the year's third-biggest set, having moved 2.10 million, while Lil Wayne's "Tha Carter IV" is No. 4 on the top sellers list with 1.92 million. This is the third year in a row Gaga has placed an album among the year's top 10 sellers. In 2009 "The Fame" was No. 4 (2.24 million) while in 2010 "Fame" was No. 6 with 1.59 million.”

                                      2.24 + 1.59 = 3.83

Don’t know how much it sold in 2008. So it crossed 4 million either at the end of 2010 or beginning of 2011.

“The soundtrack for the film 'A Star is Born' logs a sixth week atop the ARIA Albums Chart, two weeks shy of the eight weeks set in January and February for the years other long-running No.1 soundtrack in "The Greatest Showman".

By landing a sixth week here (and also in New Zealand), 'A Star is Born' soundtrack has now spent longer at the top of the ARIA Album charts than Lady Gaga's first two No.1 album combined (3 weeks for "The Fame Monster" in 2010 and 2 weeks for "Born This Way" in 2011), and her overall tally of eleven weeks at No.1 now moves her up from equal 64th to now equal 56th on the list for 'Accumulated Weeks at No.1: Albums (1965 to 2018) joining other eleven week acts such as Australian Crawl, Joe Cocker, Eurythmics, Men at Work and Alanis Morissette (all done with two No.1's apiece). The last year to see two long running soundtracks at the top was back in 2001 when three sets ran long in 'Moulin Rouge' (11 weeks), 'Coyote Ugly' (6 weeks) and 'Bridget Jones's Diary' (5 weeks).”
And just as I expected, the album is still just Gold and Shallow still not certified.
