Here's another story about sales of "Bodyguard" dated October 16, 1993 in "Billboard" magazine.

'Bodyguard' is top foreign album in Japan

LONDON - the soundtrack to "The bodyguard" has displaced Michael Jackson's "Thriller" as the Japanese music industry's biggest-selling international album to date.
It has sold 1.8 million copies there, compared with 1.6 million for "Thriller." The all-time top domesetic album, by Dreams Come True, has sold 3.1 million album (Billboard, Oct.2).
In the US, "The Bodyguard" has been certified for sales of 9 million.
Outside teh US, according to Arista Records and BMG International, the album's sales are:

WTE is NOT a Whitney Houston album. It is a Soundtrack with hits from Brandy and Mary J Blije.
