Higher Love No 1 in Scotland. It is now at it's highest position in UK for iTunes, Apple Music and Spotify so expect a new UK singles chart peak this week. It's entry into the Irish top 10 this week means this is Whitney's 19th top 10 hit in Ireland. Whitney's top 10 inventory in Ireland is almost identical to UK's 18 top 10 entries. The only differences are Run To You, Where Do Broken Hearts Go and Didn't We Almost Have It All were top 10 in Ireland but not UK and conversely, Its Not Right But It's Okay and If I Told You That went top 10 in UK but not Ireland. All were top 30 hits in both countries!
First Look has a #3 placing for Higher Love this week based on early sales (including a new spotify peak of #12 while remaining at #1 on iTunes). This would give her the highest position in the UK charts since the My Love Is Your Love era 20 years ago!!❤❤
I think a video of her previous performances and some unseen footage would be a beautiful tribute. Plus it would definitely get the song to even higher global positions in my opinion.
-it's her 1st posthumous release to get to #1 on the dance club chart
-it's the fastest to #1 this year so far
-it's her 14th #1 on the chart, tying her with Kylie Minogue, Enrique Iglesias, David Aude, Pitbull and David Guetta
OT: it's Steve Winwood's first #1 on an American BB chart since 1990, when One and only Man got to #1 on the Mainstream rock tracks chart
