I have a little side note on my site about Bing - he for sure sold hundreds of millions of records. But I just don't have a clue where to start with him, nor do I have time to figure it all out at this stage. But be assured, I think that single sales and EP's will represent as much as 90% of his total, with the majority of the remaining total being made up of compilation sales.

I actually think Crosby could be closer to Elvish' sales than Jackson just might be. It's a real grey area, I've seen seemingly plausible estimations place his single sales alone at above 250m, which would make him easily the best-selling singles act of all-time.

Anyway, I have a mark against both Sinatra and Crosby (Crosby more so, hence his exclusion from my list)

                                        Bodyguard is the R&B/Hip-Hop album.

The sale figure for Bodyguard is slightly higher than the YTD number on the "Chart Analysis". It may cause by the difference between actual and estimated numbers.

Weekly Chart Notes: Whitney Houston, Pentatonix, Andy Griffith

Houston is one of two beloved veteran acts, joining the Beach Boys, that return to the AC chart.

Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart welcomes back familiar voices, as Whitney Houston's "Celebrate," a duet with Jordin Sparks, debuts at No. 29 and the Beach Boys' "That's Why God Made the Radio" bows at No. 30.

"Celebrate" marks Houston's 32nd visit to the AC chart, and, sadly, her first posthumously, following her Feb. 11, death. The song previews Houston's final film, a remake of the 1976 release "Sparkle," due in theaters on Aug. 17.

"Celebrate," written and produced by R. Kelly, first appeared on the Adult R&B chart, where it rises 18-17 in its fifth frame. "It's too early to tell about it being a hit, but I just like the song," WBAV Charlotte, N.C., program director/music director Terri Avery told Billboard upon the song's arrival. "It's Whitney. People miss her voice."

Houston had last graced AC with the No. 22-peaking "I Look to You" in 2009. Since first ranking on the list the week of June 30, 1984, her 24 top 10s (10 of which reached No. 1) are the most among women.

The Beach Boys end a much longer AC chart absence, as "Radio" becomes their first entry since "I Can Hear Music," featuring Kathy Troccoli, reached No. 16 in 1996. "Radio" is the Beach Boys' 17th charted AC title but, perhaps surprisingly, they didn't surf onto the list until 1976. By then, the group had charted 14 of its 15 Billboard Hot 100 top 10s (with only 1988's "Kokomo," a No. 1 Hot 100 and No. 5 AC hit, then yet to come).

While the Beach Boys eventually became AC airplay staples (until the format evolved in recent years, largely phasing out most '60s songs), such adult-friendly smashes as "Fun, Fun, Fun," "I Get Around" and "Good Vibrations" never charted on AC, as the chart throughout the '60s was more the home to easy listening and big band acts. Dean Martin, in fact, had the most AC top 10s in that decade (20), followed by Herb Albert (19) and Al Martin and Bobby Vinton (18 each). Even the Beatles charted only one song on AC in the '60s ("Something," a No. 17 hit in late 1969).

The Beach Boys might not have to wait 16 years for their next AC visit, as the group is already considering a follow-up to "That's Why God Made the Radio," their 50th anniversary reunion album that debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 last month. "There's only one 50th anniversary, obviously, but there's talk about doing another album together," Beach Boy Mike Love recently told Billboard. "There's nothing in stone, but a lot of ideas (are) being floated around."

Love added that the band's label, Capitol Records, is among its fans, noting that Capitol executives are "completely stoked about how well this whole project has gone."

"They're very open to and enthusiastic about seeing what else we can come up with."
