No Top 100 Re-Entry for 'Voyage'.

Can we please avoid all mention of the Voyage 'Shows' and any references to ABBA in the UK Press etc.?

Apparently, it breaks 'The Rules' of this Thread to do so.

We must be like Robots - who are only programmed to mention ABBA Chart Positions.

I've just removed 3 of my recent Posts. To save upsetting anyone who has a 'Rules Only' sort of mind.

I never realized that UKMIX was so strict!

The #99 sold around 1.45k. Don't think that Voyage (the album! Not the show!) isn't that far behind. Perhaps 1.2k, but that's all guessing and probably whitewashing. A total of 440k might be realistic by now.

If the album does not re-enter next week, it will never do, I presume.

In an interview with Variety, plainspeaking Benny said on the success of the Voyage album:


"I have to say that it actually was to enthuse people to come to this show."


So thre album was to promote the show not the other way round


I can't see any revival for the Voyage album. There may be extra streams for the first two singles but that won't help the album because of downgrading the "sales" of the top two songs.

Anyway, its sales probably are 440k in the UK which is what you could realistically expect.

Il have loved reading all the posts about the New Show that ties into the Charts, it's just a bit of banter!

Has someone made a complaint? or is it an over zealous Mod!

Guys, some of the posts here had nothing to do with charts. It was reviews and comments about the Voyage show with no context to charts or sales. I can skip back a page and still see such posts.

It’s no different to when Voyage was released - we wouldn’t expect to see album reviews in here either. We cannot have the same discussion in three different threads.

Having attended the show yesterday and visiting the main merchandise stand after, I did not see any music on sale, so don’t expect fans to pick up a copy of Voyage or Gold after the concert on a whim. It seemed like an oversight for me because that’s over 20,000 potential customers each week. If I had seen a concert exclusive version of voyage I’d have been very tempted.

However I’m hoping it has an impact on their streaming - even if it’s just a little each week, it’ll soon add up into something substantial. It’ll be interesting to see what happens chart wise over this week.

Yes, it does seem a major oversight not to sell the Voyage album at the Voyage concert.

You only need about 1,500 to get into the Top 100 and 4,000 to get into Top 10.

I think any streaming will only be for I Still Have Faith in You and Don't Shut Me Down as they are only Voyage tracks in rhe show. That might help them as "singles" especially the latter. I can see that going Silver at some stage.


But helping with album sales? No.

Ok Artoo about keeping on track, some of us get carried away, hope you enjoyed the Concert/Show, that is a missed opportunity not having CD Vynil on Sale.. I remember the 79 Concerts Where l bought the G.Hits 2 LP and it had this lovely Scent to it, l know sounds Crazy, but true

There are still venues and small independent shops (not many left) not connected to scoundscan or whatever its called these days. So those sales don't count to the main charts if not connected.

Voyage .. the Album that is … is at 11 in UK iTunes and going upward . It’s 13 in Amazon it’s also one of HMVs best sellers on vinyl and CD . I’m sure you can work out why it’s sales are up bit I dare not mention it !

Voyage will score a 18th week on the UK-charts by friday, that's for sure. It keeps quite stable at amazon.uk, although it's just a very minimal indicator.
