^Look at the RIAA database. Aerosmith and Elton John to name two have had singles certified in the past few years.

There was a comment on here that Universal.didn't apply for certifications for older acts. It looks like an issue for ABBA and maybe a few acts rather.than generally.

^I was incorrect about Aerosmith. They did not have any of their 70s singles certified in the 1970s.

On the RIAA singles issues, long standing UKMIX member Edu, confirms my assertion that sales of physical era singles and digital era songs are not added together.

We know it sold 198, 000 during 2022

GOLD has NOT been certified platinum x21. Something has gone wrong there.

It's really quite strange. I can't see where we have calculated wrong. The 2021's sales of 26k after the 20*platinum certification until that year's end seem right, the 2022's sales of 197.5k were right and in 2023 there was probably no week with sales less than 4k and we are in week 20.

Good to see Ring Ring doing well in the German midweeks. Its high position and the value nature of the German charts might suggest it will stay in on the full chart.

The Ring Ring album only charted in Swrden, Norway, Australia, New Zealand and Greece where it bizarrely made their charts in 2021.

Ring Ring is currently #72 on the UK Midweek Chart but I doubt it will chart come Friday.
