Not so good this week for 1. But 2 weeks to make 3.6m sales. Other albums have dropped out.
Hopefully it may be re-promoted for the 20th anniversary (with a price cut) since there is no sign of Let it be 50th anniversary.
Maybe EMI will give a world sales total (35m?) and Capitol will ask RIAA for a 13x platinum cert.Comment

Disney has announced that Peter Jackson’s “Let it Be” documentary about the Beatles has been delayed by a year. It was supposed to be released on September 4th 2020. Now it’s set for 27th August 2021.
What is now also up in the air is a 50th anniversary edition of the “Let it Be” album. Most likely it will come out at the same time.
During a recent Zoom press conference, Ringo Starr said he was "disappointed" about the delay, and discussed how he felt about the footage he's watched so far, which Jackson is putting together using over 50 hours of unseen footage shot in early 1969 during the making of the Let It Be documentary and album.
Starr revealed that the one finished part he's seen is extended footage of The Beatles' famous performance on the rooftop of Apple Records' London headquarters.
"In the "Let It Be" movie it was, I'm guessing, 10 minutes long," Ringo pointed out. "It's now 36 minutes long, and it is incredible."

The OCC says,
The Rolling Stones now have 13 Number 1 albums (including reissues Exile On Main St and Goats Head Soup), putting them equal with Elvis and Robbie Williams – only The Beatles have achieved more Number 1 albums in the UK (17 including two reissues).
But it still says 16 on the Artists section of the OCC web site.Comment

1.The Beatles (132 weeks): The Fab Four have spent nearly twice as long at No. 1 as any other act. Their longest running No. 1 is Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band (15 weeks in 1967). Their tally includes four No. 1 soundtracks: A Hard Day’s Night, Help!, Magical Mystery Tour and Let It Be.
2. Elvis Presley (67 weeks). Presley spent more weeks at No. 1 than any other solo artist and more than any other American artist. (Brooks is runner-up on both counts.) Presley’s longest running No. 1 was the Blue Hawaii soundtrack (20 weeks in 1961-62). His tally includes four No. 1 soundtracks: Loving You, G.I. Blues, Blue Hawaii and Roustabout.
3. Garth Brooks (52 weeks): Brooks has spent more weeks at No. 1 than any other country artist. (Runner-up, way back at 17 weeks, is Billy Ray Cyrus). Brooks’ longest running No. 1 was Ropin’ the Wind (18 weeks in 1991-92).Comment

Interesting to note that the Beatles had several titles that never made number 1 simply because another Beatles album was firmly in place there.
Introducing The Beatles was held at number 2 because Meet The Beatles was firmly at number 1. Later that year, Something New was
held at number 2 because A Hard Days Night was at number 1. And even in early 1969 the Yellow Sub album was stopped at number 2
because The White Album was number 1 at the same time.Comment
