De best bezochte bioscoopfilms in Nederland aller tijden blijven voorlopig Gone with the Wind (ruim 3 miljoen mensen in 1939), Turks Fruit (3,3 miljoen in 1972), Titanic, Irma la Douce (3,6 miljoen in 1965) en The Sound of Music (bijna 4 miljoen mensen in 1965).

Bohemian Rhapsody brings a record return of 17 million

The Queen-film Bohemian Rhapsody has entered the top 5 of best-earning cinema films in the Netherlands of all time. With a revenue of almost 17 million euros so far, the film about the life and work of Freddie Mercury has overtaken the mega hit Gooische Vrouwen 2. That made known distributor 20 Century Fox.

Bohemian Rhapsody is still at the top of best-visited films in Dutch cinemas after twelve weeks and still draws full venues. The rest of the top 5 best-ever cinema titles of all time in the Netherlands consists of Skyfall (2012), Avatar (2008), Specter (2015) and Titanic (1998). The epic of director James Cameron about the fateful journey of the legendary cruise ship brought 25.8 million euros for the cinemas.

In terms of visitor numbers, Bohemian Rhapsody has not yet overtaken the Dutch comedy Gooische Vrouwen 2. The Queen film now stands at 1.75 million visitors; Gooische Vrouwen 2 attracted more than 2 million people to the cinemas in 2014 and 2015. The difference is due in part to the ticket prices that have risen sharply since 1997; this gives a slightly distorted picture between both lists.

The most visited cinema films in the Netherlands of all time remain Gone with the Wind (more than 3 million people in 1939), Turkish Fruit (3.3 million in 1972), Titanic, Irma la Douce (3.6 million in 1965) and The Sound of Music (almost 4 million people in 1965).

Adelantaría a La amenaza fantasma, Up, Toy Story 3 y El orfanato. Suma y sigue.

Bohemian Rhapsody is incombustible. Add more than half a million euros to your account. Its accumulated is estimated at € 25.2M. When they are confirmed, it will be the SEVENTEENTH film that gets it in the history of the Spanish box office (without counting inflation). I would overtake The Phantom Menace, Up, Toy Story 3 and The Orphanage. Add and follow.

I am convinced it will hit 850 and i am not ruling out 900
The movie is resilient picking up or holding up in major markets in Europe while staying strong in Japan. Although it dropped nearly 40 % in japan.
it is still playing in 44 territories

I am surprised .....Numbers BR int. total has always been lower then mojo's every week so far.

Numbers list Japan at $81,683,408 per 1/18/2019
Mojo lists Japan at 81,683,408 per 1/13/19

Numbers total is probably right but the Japan number is not up to date

Always tonic Bohemian Rhapsody (watch the video review), which reaches 26.4 million euros overall with 27 in target for the end of the week. Difficult to get to 30, but it is also true that so far the film has torn all the forecasts. The almost certain nominations could represent the last push before the decline.

So. In the last 7 days globally its taken 27 million dollars. At a 10% drop per week drop and having another 5 weeks on general release, I worked out that the next 5 weekends will look as follows.
    January 27th - 24.3 million
    February 3rd - 21.87
    February 10th - 19.6
    February 17th - 17.7
    February 24th - 15.9

Total as of February 24th 2019 is 900.37 million dollars. This doesn't take into account the Digital release on February the 16th which might give the cinematic release a total hammering and the film could collapse.

Saying that the Oscar nominations are released tomorrow (January 22nd). This might help, or it might not, if the film and Rami Malek don't get any nominations.

8th of February sees the BR soundtrack release on vinyl, I think this will be pretty big actually. I also think that if it was released at the same time as the other formats, it would have reached number 1 in more countries, especially the UK! Baffled why they didn't do it.

    >Bohemian Rhapsody finally experiences its first real drop, and it came after almost three months of release! A decline was likely given how its performed since last Monday, and after the weekend pre-sales came in, but a drop close to 40% is harsher than expected. Still, its eleventh weekend is still the seventh biggest on record. Incredibly impressive. I'm expecting it to more or less perform like a regular film from this point forward, and expect it finish close to ¥12 billion ($110 million).

Ah right, that's a lot better. That means it dropped less than 20% over the weekend globally. If it can keep going like that until March then it can definitely pass 'Venom'.

I'm not quite sure about you've put down here Braca. It actually increased by over 25 million during the week, was that what you meant?
No I was trying to say, the week previous to last week total, it made 18,2 m to get to 772 m
Hence ' not slowing down' but rather picking up
This week it is indeed 25+ m
It actually took over 16.3 million the previous weekend. I'm not sure what the full week was but it was close to 40 million. It has dropped this weekend by about 30 percent or so.
Sorry I took the estimated weekend earnings
