Maybe you do know what is difference between No 5, 4, 3, 2 and No 1 in album sales?

        • Yes!!!! Bohemian rhapsody smashed it this weekend with £9.35 m (12.5 m dollars). A full on hit. It's at number 1 and easily the biggest biopic debut ever. I think we have a global hit on our hands.

Queen are now up to number 4 on the Worldwide ITunes/Spotify chart on Kworb. I think they'll be at number 1 by Friday with the worldwide opening of the film..

                              • The movie Bohemian Rhapsody is tracking ahead of 'A star is born' and 'Mamma Mia 2' in advanced ticket sales. Plus 8.4 rating on IMDB, this film has a good future. https://www.google.com/amp/s/deadline.c ... 92220/amp/

                                • Wednesday Update Top-40

                                  #1 Andrea Bocelli - Sì (18,500 copies)
#2 Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper - A Star Is Born (16,200 copies)
                                  #3 Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (13,100 copies)
#4 Motion Picture Cast Recording - The Greatest Showman (11,700 copies)

                                  #7 Queen - Platinum Collection

                                  #24 Queen - Greatest Hits

Looking at these figures, I think Bohemian Rhapsody has good chances to reach the third place: the best result for Queen since Absolute Greatest from 2009. At that time figures were much bigger though. Unfortunately market has changed.
I hope A Night At The Opera remains into the top-75 and I expect that also Greatest Hits 2 might get into the top-100.

                                    • Box Office: ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’ Scores $3.9 Million on Thursday

                                      https://variety.com/2018/film/news/bohe ... 203018115/

Fox’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” rocked to an impressive $3.9 million at 3,260 North American locations on Thursday night.

Exit polling showed that 66% of theatergoers rated “Bohemian Rhapsody” as “excellent,” with another 24% calling it “very good.”

The Queen biopic, starring Rami Malek as Freddie Mercury, expands to 4,000 locations on Friday

                                      https://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmende ... 6279f35bd6

As such, the film’s promising $3.9 million Thursday gross does indeed point to a $35m-$40m+ domestic debut weekend.

If that holds (and a more frontloaded 15% Thursday-to-weekend figure) gives it a still-solid $27 million weekend), it’ll be (easily) the second-biggest launch for a musical biopic behind Straight Outta Compton’s $60m debut three years ago. To wit, A Star Is Born earned $42.9m over its debut weekend from a $3.1m Thursday preview figure. And yes, if the math aligns, then Bohemian Rhapsody will snag a whopping $53.9m debut weekend.

                                            UK Album Charts

                                            19,500 copies for Bohemian Rhapsody
11,382 copies for The Platinum Collection
                                            3,155 for Greatest Hits
1,944 for A Night At The Opera

It's the best result from Queen since 2009 Absolute Greatest. Considering the 25,000 copies sold by Andrea Bocelli, if The Platinum Collection and Greatest Hits had been removed from the market in order to "advantage" Bohemian Rhapsody, we would have probably had another Queen album at the number 1 since Made In Heaven. Personally I'm glad about this decision of maintainig all the compilations on the market.
