                  • Does anyone know where the sales for the re-issue of NOTW will be allocated? We already know that the picture disc has sold 1977 copies and surely the box set should add at least another 500 or so. So if these sales of an estimated 2,500 copies are given as UK sales then the album should chart inside the Top50!

We'll have to wait until next Friday to see unless someone can shed some light on the matter ;-)

                    • News of the World re-enters the UK charts at No58, 5 places below Greatest Hits!

Will this be deemed a success by the powers that be, I'm not sure. It has to be pointed out that the UK charts is based on units sold so obviously the revenue form NOTW will be considerably larger than that of GH. There is also no confirmation yet on units sold or wether the total sold will include the Picture Disc as well, we shall wait and see

Is this a good result for Queen? If anybody finds out anymore chart positions for the NOTW 40th Box set please post them. I do think Queen Productions have made a mistake by not releasing a 3cd/dvd version of the box and that chart positions and sales would be a lot better if they had!

I agree with you. I would have expected a multi-format release, able to satisfy the tastes of everybody. The sales would have surely been better.
At the moment I have the following results:

                            Netherlands: #92
                            Italy #96

                                    • That time of the year again when Thank God It's Christmas gets played. By no means a big seller for Queen but it does okay every Christmas.
I do wish that Queen would do an official video for the track, perhaps an animated Christmas themed one, I'm sure it would do wonders for the songs popularity I wonder what it's worldwide sales would be in the digital era?

                                              Another reason why streaming sucks!

Is it because the streaming for individual songs cannot be split between 2 albums? It has to be one album that all the streaming has to be credited to?

I guess it depends on which album is streamed more in a given week.
