It's done more than that on the-numbers website, going right back to Monday morning. I think we should get a decent idea this Sunday wether BR has a chance of hitting 900 million. It seems it's available digitally already in North America. I'm fascinated to see how this film plays out in the next few weeks.

I think digital release maybe even can help the movie. Maybe people after that would want to see it in cinemas then.

I just trust the management of FOX and their planned actions, because all their actions have been successful so far, everything was very well done. If they are doing something, I believe it has purpose for the best.

What I thought was they want to make the maximum amount of money, obviously, but they problably signed contracts with Amazon and Apple a long time ago on when they would release it digitally and couldn't go back. BR has incredibly good legs, had they known the film would perform like this, maybe they would have waited another month or 2 longer or until after the academy awards. It seems to be holding up ok in North America this week so perhaps it might help.

I doubt it, because you must remember that first the date of release was set for 26th of December, and then they changed it to 2nd of November. If they signed contracts with Amazon and Apple a long time ago, it could be in those times when they planned to release the movie after the Christmas, so digital release would be around April-May

                                              • So the BR soundtrack has taken an increase in sales in the past week according to mediatraffic.de. From 90,000 to 101,000, this has to be a good sign I think. If you look at 'A star is born' soundtrack, despite it still being at number 1, its sales have dropped. Anyone know why this has happened?

The Platinum collection album has dropped out of the top 10.

                                                • I keep underestimating this film and the soundtrack. Even a month ago I would never have thought it had a chance of hitting 800 million, now I'm thinking it might actually reach 900 million dollars. I thought the soundtrack would do no more than 1.5 million and its already passed 1.6 million and looks like it has plenty more to go. I guess the next thing to look at it is how much the DVD/BLURAY will sell worldwide and how many times it will be streamed globally.

                                                  • So I've just discovered the Academy awards are on 25th of February this year. I thought they were much later normally. So this is good news, if I had to say so, I'd put my money now on Bohemian Rhapsody passing 900 million dollars and this has to be a good thing, even if you don't like Queen. The reason is Hollywood needs to realise that you can make a lot of money from a good story....still!
