Thats not bad, I think BR will end up passing Venom's total of 855 million dollars. Japan is helping push it along still, we should be close to that record breaking multiplier.

                • Yes not a bad
not seen an estimate on Japan this week. But japan box office must have been considerable, as in major markets UK, fra, aus, it was outside top 10 last week. Italy and Spain still top 10 but with est 400k in Spain for the weekend i do not see where else it would collect enough to get to 625 int.

                  • You still think it can reach 900 million Braca?

                    Comment

                    • Will be very difficult
If it does collect 900 m it will be thanks largely to Japan (obviously).
How much more can it collect over there?
Looking at the 12th week overview it could potentially still collect a massive amount
Be interesting to see the recent Japan numbers

I think you're right Lawyeris, but I'm not sure if there is enough support out there when it comes to winning those awards. There is so much anti Brian Singer stuff going around, it would be a very controversial win if the movie did well, especially at the academy awards, but maybe thats what they want. The award winners over the last few years have been pretty dull I think! Too many arty films.

Braca, you're right, I think its going to need Japan probably to keep going for a while yet if its to get close to 900 million, combined with awards success, it is possible..Just.

                            • BR dropped by just 14% in Japan this weekend. Link taken from deadline. Looks like its doing crazy business in Holland still! Of the top of my head, I'd say we're looking at a 120 million dollar total in Japan.

Talk about sustaining a note. In its 15th weekend of release, Fox’s Oscar nominee is still rocking cinemas with another $7.1Mfrom 39 markets. Japan just can’t get enough of the Freddie Mercury biopic. The drop was 14% this 13th session there with a cume of $98M. In Holland, Bo Rhap is No. 1 for the 4th consecutive weekend which is also the film’s 14th weekend in release. The cume there is $21.2M. In other notable totals, the UK now has $68M in the songbook, France has $37.3M, Australia $37M and Germany $32M. The overseas cume is $624.4M for $832M global.

                              • I think the actual total for the weekend will be just over 833 million. We'll see.

Whats amazing if you look at the link is BR is now pulling in more internationally than Aquaman, Mary poppins, Bumblebee, The Mule or Creed 2. All these films were released much later.

                                • So according to the-numbers.com, Bohemian Rhapsody opened with 4.31 million dollars. Braca on your link, you said it opened with 3.2 million, have I overlooked something here? For it to become the number 1 multiplier then it would need to reach 143.69 million dollars. I cant see that happening.
