Thank you, Luca. A lot of Queen albums have re-entered that chart last year, including their old compilations and even "The Miracle". And now, "Queen Jewels", which I guess is import from Japan.
Updated UK sales:
Rock Montreal (CD & LP)
2007 --- 39,694
2008 --- 3,145
Total --- 42,839
Queen - A Night At The Opera

1994 --- 13,303 --- 553
1995 --- 11,499 --- 9,068
1996 --- 9,200 --- 6,465

1998 --- 12,400 --- 372

2005 --- 93,786 --- 95
2006 --- 73,212 ---
2007 --- 3,992 ---
2008 --- 3,964 ---
Totals --- 332,075 --- 21,211 --- 353,286
1st Column is Shop sales, 2nd Column is Club Sales
Queen - Platinum Collection
2000 --- 51,882
2001 --- 41,340
2002 --- 844,115
2003 --- 250,709
2004 --- 153,170
2005 --- 157,929
2006 --- 66,968
2007 --- 77,804
2008 --- 126,923
Total --- 1,770,840
-Poor total for "Queen Rock Montreal", although somehow expected, as the DVD was released on the same week.
-Nice boost by "A Night At The Opera", even if it shipped poorly during both 2007 and 2008. But the last figure we had was from june, 2006, and the album was largely stocked over the second half of that year.
-"Platinum Collection", whenever it is released again, will eventually reach 6 times platinum (1,800,000).
There is more to come when I complete everything.
This was all kindly provided by Jimmy.

I was wondering if someone knew Queen's album sales in the UK for all their albums. They are huge in the UK and always have been, was wondering how they catalogue sales hold up in comparison to other bands from that era. Cheers.

-"We Will Rock You" was certified double platinum in USA in november, 2002, for sales of 200,000. It should be at 250,000 by now. According to an article only the 2001's edition was certified: "The Record Industry Association of America has awarded Pioneer Entertainment's DVD release of QUEEN: WE WILL ROCK YOU an esteemed Double-Platinum certification for reaching over 200,000 units sold. Boasting newly restored, digitally re-mastered film, THX certification and unique anamorphic features, QUEEN: WE WILL ROCK YOU, released October 2001, continues to rock audiences around the world and generate retail ...". It had been released in 1997, selling 164,000 copies, according to Soundscan. In Brazil, it has shipped around 25,000. Worldwide, I estimated it at 450,000.
-"The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert" sold around 300,000 copies worldwide.
-"Final Live In Japan" was released in 2004, in Japan alone, and sold 10,000+ copies (it reached #1 on the international chart). Then, "Live In Japan" was released in a few other countries, as a ripp-off from the original japanse edition (my copy isn't the best, really, in terms of quality). It was certified platinum in Argentina (4,000+) and peaked at #4. It was top 20 in other countries, like Italy, France and Sweden. It sold around 30,000 worldwide.
-"Super Live In Japan" sold about 10,000 copies. It was a japanese only release.
-"A Night At The Opera" was certified platinum in Australia (15,000), and sold 7,000 in UK. In Brazil, around 20,000 copies, overall. It reached the top 10 in many countries, notably in Italy, where it reached #2 ("M&D"), but in Greece, Germany, and others too. Worldwide, it sold around 150,000.
-"Queen Jewels" sold 33,000 copies in just about 10 weeks in Japan. It reached #1 in Japan during 5 weeks, even on the national chart with local acts as contenders. Around 50,000 copies, overall.
As for their VHSs, this is the only thing I know:
- Greatest Flix 1 (1981)
UK: #1 (115+) - #10 of 1992
Germany: #2 (52)
France: 10,000+
USA: #9 (23)
- Queen At Wembley (1990)
UK: #8 of 1992
Germany: #2 (76)
France: 60,000
Portugal: 2,000
USA:
- Greatest Flix 2 (1991)/Classic Queen (1992)
UK: #1 - # of 1992
Germany: #1 (112)
USA: #7 (11)
- Champions Of The World (1995)
Germany: #3 (54)
France: 10,000
USA: #7 (16)

Guys, I know I have posted this same stuff a couple of times in recent months, but all the new information always makes me change certain things here and there:
- Live At Wembley ´86 (2003)
-Europe: 1,200,000
UK: 330,000
Germany: 200,000
Netherlands: 200,000
Italy: 115,000
France: 130,000
Portugal: 60,000
Sweden: 20,000
Poland: 20,000
Spain: 40,000
Denmark: 4,000+
Greece: #2
Austria: 5,000 #1
Several notes:
-UK was up to 323,000 up through november, 2007, by now I added some further shipments to round up a figure
-Netherlands, it was at 102,000 by december, 2003, and raised to 115,000 two months after that. It was then certified double platinum on april, 2005, while still selling. It was the top selling DVD 2003, #9 in 2004 and #10 in 2005.
-In Sweden, it reached #1 during 4 weeks and has now spent 117 weeks in the top 20. I assumed it sold enough for a platinum (20,000).
-In Portugal, it had already been certified 11 times platinum in 2003 a few months after it was released. It then spent 78+ weeks on charts from april, 2004, up to now. It actually peaked at #2 in 2006.
-Italy is the most dificult country to sort out. I estimated annual sales from 2003 up to now.
The markets above add up 1,120,000 copies, overall. Checking the anual reports to be found on the IFPI oficial page, those countries represent 92% of the european continent. Assuming a similar success in the rest of the region, the DVD should now really be at 1,200,000.
Worlwide sales, over 1,900,000.
