    • Australia:
      3 (3) Greatest Hits 138 weeks (No. 3 for 9 weeks) *re-peak*
      4 (2) Bohemian Rhapsody 23 weeks (No. 1 for 4 weeks)
      6 (6) The Platinum Collection 105 weeks (No. 4 for 1 week)

It's really impressive how stable those three albums are in the top 10 for such a long time now. To put things into comparison: After MJ's death, he had at least 3 albums in the top 10 for 6 weeks. Whitney Houston did it for one week. Amy Winehouse only had her 'Back to Black' return to the top 10 after her death - for 3 weeks.

            10 Bohemian Rhapsody $0.17 ($13.36 cume)
As wee see, still the best rate "Per Screen Avg." and "Per Ticket Avg." from all the TOP 10 movies, and absolute the smallest number of showings (2-50 times), although Bohemian Rhapsody is shown for 17 days (2046 showings), and for example Shazzam (No 2 this week, Cume already $29.00m) only for 3 days (even 92972 showings).
So we can see what a huge potential Bohemian Rhapsody has, it's pity it didn't get wide release...

It did get an expansion but I don’t think there was the demand there for a major release. Musicals don’t seem to do that well in China.

I would love it to have got a wide release Lawyeris but the mid week numbers weren’t that strong which would have helped expand the film. Also several minutes were removed which would have made for a less satisfying experience.

No it won’t because it’s an R rated film, plus it’s coming out in May with a lot of competition but I think it may do 400 million dollars, I hope so at least!

As I said before, the movie in China still has the best "Per Screen Avg." and "Per Ticket Avg." ratings, considering the weekend gross, from all the tOP 10 movies, so I'd say the demand is rather good after 17 days of showing.

Yes, but the screen average is high because the supply is so low. If it were released in let’s say 3 or 4 times more theatres, probably the screen average would drop substantially. The other thing is where are all the theatres for BR located? If they are all in Shanghai and Beijing only then there is a good argument for expansion since people in the rest of the country can’t see it. However, if they have spread the count out nationwide through to the west of the country, then the figures we are seeing are more realistic. The problem is, we don’t know where all the cinemas are located.
