I think you’ll find it’s a financial thing. Record companies don’t like coughing up money to certify albums or disorganisation.

But that is a separate thing.
The Flash Gordon was certified but there must have been a glitch in the system. Riaa should correct that they received the money for the certification

The BR soundtrack sells another 67,000 copies this week, just 1,000 less than last week. It is however at number 10 on Mediatraffics top 10 this week. Can it hold on? A stack of new releases have come out as well. I think we should get a solid showing throughout the year, as I thought it’s holding up well and is now close to 3 million copies sold.

Anytime regan54. I expect the BR soundtrack to pass 4 million copies by the end of the year. Then it should continue as a good catalogue seller for years to come, giving them 3 good catalogue sellers. The film has literally catapulted their streaming/downloading and sales. BR averaged 400,000 streams per day before the film, it’s still doing almost 2 million per day, similar effect to the rest of their music. 32.9 million monthly listeners on Spotify, it was 19 million before the film.

Some more mind blowing performances on the UK chart this week. The BR soundtrack drops just 2 places from 5 to 7 despite 3 new entries in the top 5 and The platinum collection actually rises 2 places despite 6 new entries above it!
