      • I cannot find any data on the riaa website (I may have missed it)
        But to the best of my knowledge gold singles in the US were for 1 million sales and platinum for 2 million
        I believe this was reduced to 500k and 1m in the 80ties (1989?)

        Anyone has any supporting data on this?.

                              There must be a glitch in the riaa database as single are all listed gold for 500k and platinum 1m

                                        if any of them ever gets recertified today, they would be under current standards.

                                        CLTCL has no digital certification while it was one of there biggest hits in the us. So I believe it was just entered in the system as standard rather than digital
