Elbow are leading the race for this week's UK Number 1 album with their brand-new record Giants of All Sizes.

Meanwhile, Japanese kawaii metal band Babymetal are eyeing up a Top 10 debut with Metal Galaxy, their first album as a duo, at 6, ahead of new definitive Freddie Mercury solo collection Never Boring at 8. Freddie's remastered debut solo album Mr Bad Guy could also return to the Top 40 at Number 34.

Queen 19: 19 Weeks at #1 in ’19 for ‘Greatest Hits’; Best Since ‘19’

Queen’s Greatest Hits returns to #1 on Catalog Sales (CS) this week for the 19th time in 2019 (20th overall). This represents the largest total for a single album in a single year since Adele’s 19 (there’s that number again) had 27 weeks at #1 in 2011, en route to an overall total of 41 (14 more weeks in 2012). There’s a chance that Greatest Hits could surpass that total, but The Beatles’ Abbey Road is expected to be #1 next week, and even without that, Christmas chart upheaval is right around the corner… Greatest Hits also is the top Catalog album on BB200 for the 20th time this year, 24th overall. It holds down the #24 position on BB200, and #32 on Top Album Sales (narrowly beating Guardians Of The Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 and Bob Seger & The Silver Bullet Band’s Greatest Hits.
