She is such a monster when it comes to album sales. Mariah sold just a bit that much and she has one of the biggest Christmas song of the last 3 decades (and literally became a Christmas singer, basically - which is sad).

Who is a xmas singer? As proven by her streaming numbers outside xmas time. Mariah has remembered hits outside of AIWFCIU.

            • i always wonderd why her 1999 album "All the Way... A Decade of Song" is only 7 platinium in the US. it had a great chart one, was ranked 7th in 2000(the second best year of album sales ever), 198 in 2001 and then was charting inside the top 30 of yearly album cataloge sales till 2004!
Nielsen SoundScan says it sold 8.2 million and billboard also says it has an additoinal 1.1 million on BMG which brings it to 9.3 million! one also has to consider that many times the cartification is even higher than that(many of mariah carey albums are certifed higher than that total, for example)

Celine only had 2 RIAA certs from 2010-2019. For dvds!

Her last album certification was Feb. 2008. Almost 12 years ago.

Celine and her management do not care. Just like Madonna and Janet Jackson...

How close is it to Diamond?

Does the album have good catalogue sales?
Since its a compilation, are the track streams strong enough to get it to diamond?

But Celine's albums really are undercertified

                                • Her Soundscan numbers do not accurately reflect her true selling power in Canada, even though they are considerably higher than anyone else's. Sony confirmed at the end of the 90s that at retail alone, she'd sold over 10m albums in Canada during the decade.

Her actual sales in Canada will be double the Soundscan figures in reality.

                                            • The legacy of Celine’s recordings & RIAA Certifications

Celine Dion has had so many songs in her career that she has recorded, that have had such an amazing positive impact on millions of people’s lives around the world. Celine has had albums and songs that have achieved tremendous chart and sales success, and at the same time became treasured pieces of art that loyal fans cherish, and new fans are discovering. It’s been almost 10 years since Celine Dion’s last RIAA certification. The last RIAA certification was on July 16th, 2010. That was for two video longform certifications. The last album of Celine’s to have any RIAA certification was for Taking Chances almost 12 years ago, in 2008. The last single of Celine’s to receive an RIAA certification was in 1998! Why has it been so very long since Celine has had any RIAA certification(s)?
Another even more shocking fact is that Celine has NEVER had any digital single RIAA certification! As you know, this award counts both downloads and on-demand music streams. On-demand audio and/or video song streams are counted towards the thresholds required for certification at the formula of 150 on-demand streams being equivalent to one download sale.
According to the digital single criteria, Celine has MANY songs that qualify for RIAA digital single awards/certifications.

The question for Sony Music and Columbia Records: Why haven’t you been submitting any requests to the RIAA for certifications?
According to the RIAA: Record labels are required to validate that titles redeemed through product sales/on-demand streams and counted towards certification have actually been distributed or downloaded within the United States, and Requests for certification may be made by email to the RIAA. RIAA certification entitles the authorized record company/artist to purchase official RIAA award plaques bearing the trademarked RIAA hologram seal from RIAA’s licensed plaque manufacturers.
All certification audits are conducted, for a fee, by the firm Gelfand, Rennert and Feldman, LLP (GR&F) for the RIAA. If multiple certification levels are simultaneously certified, only one audit certification fee is charged.
Celine’s amazing songs, albums, and video releases have continued to stay relevant over the years, selling and streaming in the millions. These releases have been an important part of peoples lives, and their legacy should be honored by awarding their sales achievements with the RIAA certifications that they qualify for. It's time to honor their legacy, and request new RIAA certifications.
