Global Chart Report
Thursday, December 14, 2017
by Fred Chuchel, Dresden
It's surely the last important album release of the year 2017: 'Songs Of Experience', the 14th studio effort by the Irish rock legend U2. The set vaults easily to the summit of the Global Album Chart with 441,000 equivalent sales, 186,000 of it from the United States (according to Nielsen Music / Billboard), another nearly 41,000 from United Kingdom (according to OCC).Prisoner Of Rock'n'Roll

Music Week:
U2 have spent 119 weeks in the Top 10 since breaching it for the first time in 1983, when their third album, War, debuted at No.1. 1987 album The Joshua Tree spent its first 28 weeks in the Top 10 – but their latest album, Songs Of Experience suffers a 5-20 tumble (15,973 sales) on its second frame.

This could end easily with 2M at the very end, great numbers nowadays, considering they are mostly real sales!
