By the way fear of the dark has been recertified gold ij Italy for more than 25.000 copies sold since 2009.
Needless to say that it sold more than 130,000 copies in 1992 and maiden received a gold record back in the days

You are exactly right. I have noticed many so called "official sources" published so often only the random data not reliable as the ultimate sales results and it's all about the certificate thresholds too. Iron Maiden received double platinum discs for "Somewhere in Time" and platinym discs for "7th Son" in the States (Mick Wall mentioned all about in the band bio and dedicated arts) but officialy we can read about platinum and gold discs. It's exactly so same with the eponymous debut effort from 1980. Harvest Rec gave musicians gold discs back in 1986 as we may read in press release from 1992. "No Prayer For the Dying" should be platinum now and "Fear of the Dark" - gold. As Nilsen/Nielsen Soundscan reported in 2008 this title achieved circa 420k copies sold in the States. The problem is about re-releasing back catalogue by the different labels (CBS, Epic, Sanctuary, UMe, Castle etc.) and certificates thresholds are based on sale figures represent just by one label which releasing album orginally. Re-releases are the different cups of tea in that case.

What is really interesting is that the press release gave some sales data regarding no prayer for the dying
750,000 copies sold in usa in the first 3 months, more than 1.000.000 in Europe.

Interesting one. But $12m gross foe euro tour is definitely impossible unless they added merchandising. Ticket gross for that euro leg is more around $7.5m

Yeah they added all data it's cumulated result. And (sorry) any info about some dates planned fornext year? Paris, Copenhagen or something?!
