I got the info from maidenfans.com, where there was an article by Rod Smallwood (IM manager) in which he gives details about IM albums which were certified in canada in October.

NOTB was classified as platinum way back in the 80's, so it seems logical that it has gone triple platinum now!
BTW, NOTB-"Classic Albums" wasn't even certified Gold in canada upto sep 2006. So the certification is definitely not for this DVD!!

Anyways, CRIA should be uploading the October certifications in their website in a couple of weeks. So we can confirm it then!

In Japan, the album Iron Maiden was certified Gold way back in 1981.
Does anyone have information on other certifications achieved by IM in japan?

Well if none albums were certified since , we can't really consider Iron Maiden as a big seller as you say ...

and either Live After Death or No Prayer for the Dying, although I suspect it's the former. It can even be Fear of The Dark, although its had only a Gold certification before.[/quote]

In my opinion, Live After Death is the best 'live' record ever... it is amazing.

BTW, Is AMOLAD the first Iron Maiden album to be certified Gold in Greece?
SSOASS was silver in norway in 88 with over 25000 sold (gold was for 50.000 at that time).

For Greece it's of course not the first gold album (BOTB, BNW, DOD, were also gold). A certification database should be on IFPI website soon according to the webmaster.

what we will need is also the number of sales that is needed to get that certification! Maybe they were changed some timein some country!?

You know, if you say Number made Gold in the (0s, so it sold 250.000 copies then, but today you only need 100.000 to get Gold and 200.000 to get platinum. (Germany)
