and either Live After Death or No Prayer for the Dying, although I suspect it's the former. It can even be Fear of The Dark, although its had only a Gold certification before.[/quote]
In my opinion, Live After Death is the best 'live' record ever... it is amazing.

Only 3 maiden albums have been certified in France between 1994-2005. Besides the above two, the third one is A Real Live One, certified as Gold way back in 1995.

BTW, Is AMOLAD the first Iron Maiden album to be certified Gold in Greece?
For Greece it's of course not the first gold album (BOTB, BNW, DOD, were also gold). A certification database should be on IFPI website soon according to the webmaster.

In addition to this, around 6 albums have been certified 2xPlatinum. These are probably the ones which were certified as Platinum earlier i.e
Killers
Piece of Mind
Powerslave
Somewhere In Time
Seventh Son of a Seventh Son
and either Live After Death or No Prayer for the Dying, although I suspect it's the former. It can even be Fear of The Dark, although its had only a Gold certification before.

what we will need is also the number of sales that is needed to get that certification! Maybe they were changed some timein some country!?
You know, if you say Number made Gold in the (0s, so it sold 250.000 copies then, but today you only need 100.000 to get Gold and 200.000 to get platinum. (Germany)

remember that certification is not equal real sales!
could be that the addictions of all certification worldwide do 3m and the real sales are 5m or could be also that the sum of certification do 5m but the real sales are 3m..

for sure.. i think certification is the number of records in stores...not record bought
it makes a difference if the store have a stock for rest
but about maiden i'm sure that the beast , piece , slave and somewhere are in real sales more than double platinum

If you are referring to 2xPlatinum status for Visions of the Beast in the US, then the sales would be close to a 100,000. This is coz for DVD's and music videos, the certification levels are Gold-50,000 and Platinum-100,000; unlike that of albums where its 1,000,000 for a platinum certification.
Then again the certifications are for copies shipped and not actual sales.
