Too early to say that. It's also a holiday day, people are probably a little "slow"; anyway Ladies AND gentleman greatest hits is now number one in all europe ( france, germany), 2 in uk AND Australia

Prince's death was announced on a Thursday morning around 10am. People were awake and could shop immediately.

George's was a holiday at 6pm. Late in Europe.

The real action should start today.

He's currently charting 22 songs in the iTunes top 200 and a massive 67 entries in the top 1000 [with a further 12 in the top 1500].

What this proves is that for a longer period of time, he was a much bigger chart act in the UK. You can also see how much the US turned its back on him after Older.

I would argue that his UK chart history is amongst the top 3 in UK chart history for male soloists - I mean 100% of every album/EP/hits release went top 3
