HEAVEN & HELL Selects Next Single - July 16, 2009

HEAVEN & HELL — the band featuring BLACK SABBATH members Tony Iommi (guitar), Ronnie James Dio (vocals), Geezer Butler (bass) and Vinny Appice (drums) — has selected "Follow The Tears" as the next single from the group's new album, "The Devil You Know".

HEAVEN & HELL's June 16, 2009 concert at Museumsmeile in Bonn, Germany was professionally filmed by WDR's (German public TV) series "Rockpalast" and was premiered this past Monday morning (July 13).

Watch the "Follow The Tears" performance below.

              For more information, visit Rockpalast.de.

HEAVEN & HELL will bring its wicked world tour to North America for a select number of shows this August. The band will start its summer headlining music festivals across Europe before bringing its macabre stage show of metal classics to North America starting on August 7 in Vancouver. COHEED AND CAMBRIA will provide support on all shows except the Seattle date on August 8, which will feature NEUROSIS in the supporting slot.

"The Devil You Know" has sold 66,000 copies since its April 28 release, according to Nielsen SoundScan. It debuted at position No. 8 on The Billboard 200 chart with first-week sales of 30,000 units.

HEAVEN & HELL was forced to cancel its June 21 appearance at the Metalway Festival in Zaragoza, Spain due to back pain suffered by guitarist Tony Iommi.

So Paranoid hasn't hit 5 times Platinum yet? I find wierd that an album with that kind of Legacy and appreciation hasn't sold another million in the last 18 years

The album artwork and track listing for 13–the first new studio album in 35 years from the original BLACK SABBATH–have now been revealed. In classic SABBATH fashion, the CD, due out June 11, comes in at nearly sixty minutes in just eight songs.

For the recording of 13, BLACK SABBATH–OZZY OSBOURNE, TONY IOMMI and GEEZER BUTLER–were joined at the sessions by drummer Brad Wilk (Rage Against The Machine). Produced by Rick Rubin (seven-time Grammy winner, two of those as Producer of the Year), the album will be released on Vertigo (worldwide) and Vertigo/Republic in the U.S.

The 13 track listing is as follows:

                                              1. End Of The Beginning (8:07)
                                              2. God Is Dead? (8:54)
