Edit: Celestial has sold enough in its first week to be certified oro by latin RIAA, third week enough to be certified platino. With sales like theirs, shipments must be over 400,000, meaning a double platino certification... It is completely Spanish content so they should certify it, still, there's nothing on the site....
Celestial should be certified an american gold.

Sure hope so, but they won't certify it American Gold as it consists of (only) Spanish songs. So still it needs to be certified 2x platino (for over 400,000).

Doing a quick research: Luis Miguel (3), Shakira (2), Maná (2), Los Temerarios (2), Enrique Iglesias (2), Selena (1), Marco Antonio Solís (1), Ricky Martin (1), Los Tigres del Norte (1) and Conjunto Primavera (1) have US Platinum certifications for albums in Spanish. There might be more. Also, a couple of recent reggaeton acts like Daddy Yankee have also been US Platinum but not sure if the albums are fully in Spanish.

Rebels wasn't succeful at all. It was supposed to present them to the mainstream public in USA, they went to popular american shows, etc., so the sales are very pathethic.

True.. They really need to release "Wanna Play" soon if they want the album to get more successful... The last single "Tu Amor" was released in September 2006 and the album end December 2006... No wonder the albums is dropping, now at #166!

Celestial though is the Spanish album and is doing much better (selling twice!) than Rebels. "Wanna Play" was to be released in January, but it got postponed due all the work they're doing, so it probably will be released in March. Hopefully, the club banger will get the album to high sales after all.

Another thing worth mentioning is that "Dame", which is not planned to be the second single from Celestial, charted in the Hot Latin Songs at #42 last week and #18 in the Latin Pop chart, while it's "Celestial" that is official second single. (they recorded the video of it on Feb 11)

                                              "Tu Amor" peaked at
                                              - #65 on the Billboard Hot 100
                                              - #39 on the Pop 100
                                              - #21 on the Pop 100 Airplay
                                              - #30 on the Rhythmic Top 40
                                              - #29 on the Top 40 Mainstream
                                              - #36 on the Latin Pop Airplay

It's by the way their first song that appeared in so many Billboard charts. I predict (and hope) "Wanna Play" to chart higher than #65, and also appearing on the Dance charts.

According to Wikipedia, it did, but appareantly its position on the HLT chart is not high enough to add it on AMG.
