In us, Eminem got 8 million pure sales (all album combined) this decade (2010-2019) so far, while JB got 10 million, so if he has a new album, he can beat JB if he releases 2 albums before this decade end.
          8 million is not correct.

          Recovery - 4,75m
          MMLP2 - 2,4m
          Relapse - 700k
          TES - 870k
          Curtain Call - 1,02m
          MMLP - 700k
          Encore - 300k
          SSLP - 400k

          = 11,140,000
Wow! I didn't think that the old album were sold a lot

So, he and Bieber are really close now. Don't know who will win,

Anyone knows the estimated sale of MMLP2? The longevity seems good though.

                        • The album is selling like 1k copies a week. More or less.

I would put it at 2,5m... But that might be a little generous.

Nice to see ya again alicia <3.

                                By Keith Caulfield | September 29, 2016

Only 31 albums have sold 9 million copies since Nielsen started electronically tracking music purchases in 1991.

Adele is one of just six acts that have sold at least 9 million copies of two different albums in the Nielsen era. Her previous release, 21, has sold 11.7 million.

She joins Backstreet Boys (Millennium, 12.3 million and their self-titled album, 10.2 million), Garth Brooks (Ropin’ the Wind, 9.6 million and No Fences, 9.01 million), Celine Dion (Falling Into You, 10.8 million and Let’s Talk About Love, 9.6 million), Eminem (The Marshall Mathers LP, 11 million and The Eminem Show, 10.7 million) and Britney Spears (…Baby One More Time, 10.6 million and Oops!… I Did It Again, 9.2 million).

                                        • Eminem's "Curtain Call : The Hits" has just been certified by RIAA as 7xPlatinum...

I challenge anyone to try to explain this certification... to try to explain in your head the meaning of this 7xPlatinum... For example in comparation to any old 7xPlatinum award... A few years ago we could compare certifications now that is not possible...

No one knows anymore how each certification is arrived at...
How many CD were shipped, how many albums (considered as the set of songs contained in the physical release) were downloaded, which songs were streamed and how many times each was streamed, if was always the same song or note, how many videos were watched, and goes on and on...

No one can understand anymore Gold and Platinum awards, and every journalist and news readers will keep thinking that this 7xPlatinum was for 7 million CDs and full-album downloads, which is not obviously correct or true, but who could understand all the calculations necessary to transform the sales, streams, downloads and who knows what more that were done to "create" this 7xPlatinum...?

Not even the artist himself will understand why he got this 7xPlatinum...
