      Music Week's report:

Cyndi Lauper's 11th album Detour finds her exploring country music for the first time. It seems to be a success, judging from the album's No.43 debut on sales of 2,018 copies, far outperforming equally experimental blues-tinged predecessor, Memphis Blues, which peaked at No.105 in 2010. In fact, Detour is 62 year old's Lauper's highest charting studio album since her third, Night To Remember, reached No.9 in 1989. Night To Remember was her only Top 10 studio album, although subsequent compilation, Twelve Deadly Cyns...And The Some reached No.2 in 1994.

        • At least she charted in the UK this time! It was so annoying that 'Bring Ya to the Brink' didn't even make the top 100...

It would be her 6th top 40 album in America right?

I wonder what first week sales are? 20k/22k WW?

Looks like Detour is out of the Top 200 iTunes/Spotify chart I guess considering Cyndi's chart run and album sales since 12 DC we should expect too much.

                          • I had ordered the Deour LP, a limited swirl blue color vinyl, an Barnes & Noble Exclusive but apparently B&E has make a mistake by mailing out the normal black color vinyl to all the customers who has ordered the exclusive release. I calling up the customer service about the wrong item that I received, and was told the correct blue color viny, has shipped out and I am allow to keep the black vinyl at no extra cost charged.

It's to be expected I'm happy it just charted and it charted in many countries considering it's a country album ( an unpopular style world wide) no promotion and she's considered a ''has been''.
