Does it has any element of R&B/HP like Touch My Body and love In THis Club?

            • She entered the charts at #43 with about 11500 copies which isn't amazing, but not too bad for an album which wasn't promoted at all.

The label didn't promote it? Why? Of bad singles?

Hopefully it can make the top 40 by the final chart. :x

Think how much better it could have done if it was actually promoted by Cyndi or the label.

                  • Yeah, with the right promotion it could be huge. I don't knkow why Sony doesn't promote it. They probably don't have any faith in Cyndi any more. It doesn't have to do anything with the quality because the album is superb. That Cyndi herself isn't promoting it is a riddle to me. Even on her current True-Colors tour she performs mainly her old hits :-?

                                    • The album in Japan this week:

                                      Oricon International Album chart TOP20-2008/6/9-
(Left To Right:Rank of Int.chart,Rank of Overall chart,Rank of Overall chart(LW),Title,Artist,Sales for one week,Total Sales,Peak Pos.,Weeks On Chart)

                                      15 [54] (42) Bring Ya To The Brink-Cyndi Lauper (2,956) [14,182] # 18 , 3 wks

So it's 5-10-15 on the international chart & 18-42-54 overall. It's not doing amazing but it could be worse.

Hopefully the album landed in the top 40 in America this week.

                                      • Oh no.

... Also debuting this week is Cyndi Lauper's "Bring Ya to the Brink" at No. 41 with 12,000. It's the singer's first U.S. pop album since 1996's "Sisters of Avalon."

How irritiating. Even a week at #40 would have made me somewhat happy - but oh well, it's Kylie's Body Language all over again.

Anyway #41 IS a good result for someone who's last studio album of new and original material peaked at #188...

LA said it debuted at #40 in Canada.

At least it went top 40 somewhere outside of Japan.
