Yeah that's what people call her...although i don't know a lot about her...but in longevity she is a french version of Madonna for sure...she's from the 80's, isn't she?

Yes, she issued her first single in 1984. As for her being an eqivalent to Madonna, fine, but I've always found the term "French Madonna" rather sickening. Yes, it's a good way of referencing her legend in the Francophone world, but it identifies her as of the post-Madonna generation of singers when she's not at all. Madonna is more the GLOBAL Mylene in that right. :p

For the record, she's very often refered to as the French Kate Bush as well - which is also unfortunate, but more on par in terms of artistic sensibilities. Kate is secretly French you know.

I love how Dance music can have such success as other genres such as pop and R6B across Europe, not like the US where everything is about R&B and Hip-Hop.

The new Video is amazing.

BTW Désenchantée is one of the biggest club hits in Mexico “Today”, they still play it at clubs and sounds very fresh, and its one of people favorites.
