I've been thinking back to the 2007 release of Taylor Swift [2006 debut], and there were two different packages of TS Deluxe - one version had three extra tracks [which is still sold today] and the other had the CD plus a video disk plus a bunch of fan material.

Since it has been pointed out that adding six songs to Fearless would leave Fearless Deluxe non-compliant under RIAA rules [minimum 75% original audio material], perhaps the six songs will only be in the fan package.

BMR's President mentioned he was expecting under 1 million sales for the new deluxe version and perhaps they don't care if it is non-compliant with RIAA. After all, Taylor is not known for following the company rule book - if she wants to put out six more songs, then I could see her not worrying about easing the way for all the sales number counters - let them keep track of two different versions.

BMR is a strange label - who else would give total creative control over album content to a new artist - a 15 year old girl who already had a track record of discarding record labels, production staff and co-writers who didn't meet her standards.

BMR is providing advice but Taylor is making the final decisions so maybe the BMR President, Scott Borchetta, is just being careful with his predictions.

Taylor Swift Tops 10 Million in Record Sales

Taylor Swift, who The New York Times described as "one of pop's finest songwriters, country’s foremost pragmatist, and more in touch with her inner life than most adults," has surpassed the 10 MILLION milestone for record sales. This 10 million number represents actual full albums sold – in addition, Taylor has sold over 20 million paid song downloads, more than any artist in country music history.

19-year old Taylor, who writes all of her own material, released her now quadruple-platinum self-titled debut CD in October of 2006 on Big Machine Records, and followed it up with the Fearless album two years later. Fearless was the country’s top selling album for the first 33 weeks of this year, and now has sales of more than 4 million copies in the US and Gold and Platinum certifications in fourteen countries spanning five continents.

Taylor’s 10 million albums sold include the following:

Fearless 4,020,725 units US
