Yes. All is again possible, even with a market in low of 13%...
The first week sales will be huge again during a very long time, because the big fans are mobilized strongly the first days. But, in the same time, the total sales can to be bad (or not terrible) with a very impressive first week, like "Curtis" (50 Cent) 690k then 1,3 million or now, the Jonas Brothers "A Little Bit Longer" 520k but "only" 1,1 million in 13 weeks...

it's really phenomenal success, yes - look at iTunes, every song she has released so far went No.1 or Top 3 on iTunes + now she's targeting at 600k, even Carrie Underwood coming up from mega-seller and Idol did not manage to do something like that

Taylor Swift Soars To No. 1 Debut
                        Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

With the best sales week for a country album in a year, 18-year-old Taylor Swift debuts at No. 1 on The Billboard 200 and Top Country Albums with her sophomore set, "Fearless." The Big Machine release sold 592,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan, the largest sum for a country album since Eagles' "Long Road Out of Eden" started with 711,000 last November.

"Fearless" shifted 129,000 copies digitally, the fourth biggest week for a digital album since Nielsen SoundScan began tracking them in 2004. Swift is already No. 1 on Hot Country Songs with "Love Story" and has posted five top 20 debuts on the Hot 100 this year alone.

Swift boots AC/DC from No. 1
                          By JOHN WILLIAMS

Veteran rockers AC/DC got a swift boot out of No. 1 on the charts this week -- and by a young country star, no less.

18-year-old Taylor Swift's second studio album "Fearless" rocketed to the top on sales of 27,000, according to figures compiled by Nielsen SoundScan.

This beats the No. 14 peak of her 2006 self-titled debut, and marks the first country album to reach the top spot since Garth Brooks' "Ultimate Hits" in November of 2007.

                            Williams is crazy.

George Strait, Sugarland, Alan Jackson and Kenny Chesney had number one albums this year on the Billboard 200. Is he drunk or something?

                                    HDD PREVIEW:

The real tussle will be right below that for #2, as a debuting RCA/RMG’s David Cook and Roadrunner’s Nickelback go head-to-head with this week’s chart-topper, Big Machine’s Taylor Swift, in her second week. All look to be in the 300k range, mas o menos.

                                    not too shabby! 600k + 300k = 900k!

Taylor Swift's success is a real phenomenon.

I'm not a fan of hers, but 2008 is her year (at least in country music).

                                            Swift is sweet!

She is, in female, the Garth Brroks of the beginning of the 90' or the Tim McGraw of the beginning of this decade !

TAKING THE REINS: Taylor Swift rides in on her "White Horse" at No. 13 on the Hot 100, her sixth top 20 debut of 2008, breaking a record set by the Jonas Brothers for the most any artist has had in a calendar year. The Jonas Brothers had five top 20 debuts this summer.

Swift is now tied for second place with Mariah Carey and the Beatles for the most top 20 debuts in a career. One more new entry inside this elite tier will put her in a three-way tie for first place with Janet Jackson and Madonna.

With five more new entries this week, Swift has a total of 13 debuts in 2008. Of those 13, 11 are from her new album, "Fearless" (Big Machine), which opens at No. 1 on The Billboard 200. It is the first No. 1 album on this chart for Swift; her eponymous debut set peaked at No. 5 in January.

On Top Country Albums, "Fearless" is Swift's third chart-topper. Her first album spent 24 weeks on top between August 2007 and July of this year. Her EP "Beautiful Eyes" debuted at No. 1 the first week in August, succeeding her own first album.
