I don't know, can they combine with Latin version for certification purposes?

        Comment

        • I think so. It would be eligible for Latin 8XP or 9X Platinum. They should do that instead of regular. It won't go US Gold anytime soon.

I could go Latin diamond though!

PS.: Streams from compilation versions and radio/single edits are merged with the original song's totals.
PS2.: The small number at the song's titles means how many different versions are merged together for the final totals.

Those 7 songs are all on the pace for a platinum eligible certification by the RIAA so The Pleasure Principle, Love Will Never Do (Without You) and Runaway should already all be platinum right now.
Oh, really? This is great news for Janet. Do you know the sales of those songs BTW?

              • You Want This with physical + SPS is at about 630k. Won't be platinum for a long time!

                The others are VERY likely.

I don't know if it can be counted as one, we'll see.

                      • Ok, so the guy Eric West that is working on Janet's certifications liked a comment under the tweet posted that said "give her a diamond cert".

                        Y'all it's coming!

It's already over 8 million. It's SPS is over 2 million, it's last cert was 6 million over 30 years ago and club sales weren't allowed/included in RIAA certs until 1995. Rhythm Nation was available at both.

                            • It's so hard to determine with albums from those days. Anything 8-10 million seems like a good prediction if you ask me.

                                  Right!

But if TLC's "Ooooh on the TLC Tip" can be certified for 4 million with ONLY 1.9 million in sales .......

I think we're good with Rhythm Nation.

Let's also mention, we don't know the exact number shipped during it's certification. It could be anywhere between 6 and 6.9 (without club sales as I mentioned before).

That's the Way Love Goes was just certified for 2 million, but it's currently 2.7 million with physical single sales and SPS and will be eligible for 3XP within the next few months.

                                      9x platinum MINIMUM
                                      10X platinum most likely
won't even be surprised if it hits 11x plat depending on how much it sold in Columbia Music Club and its shipment when it hit 6x plat (like u mentioned, it could anywhere betweeb 6M to 6.99M)

                                      • Agreed with you. 11xp wouldn't surprise me either when you think about the fact that one of the biggest albums of the 90s was sold as BMG and Columbia House. It SHOULD see at least the x8p.

Had no idea "Damita Jo" was sold at BMG. I doubt it moved too much there.

They had their selection of the month, which would automatically go out to all their subscribers, based on genre. Pop subscribers would get "Damito Jo". The question is how many subscribers did they have in 2004?!
