I don't know. RN1814 spent longer on the BB200 than the janet. album. But janet. has always Janet's best selling catalog album (not including Design of a Decade).

Rhythm Nation 1814 was certified 6x platinum, but has also sold 2.5 million copies via BMG club sales and in the Soundscan era = 8.5 million sales?

janet. has sold 7,010,000 according to Soundscan and 860,000 through BMG club sales = roughly 7.9 million sales?

Considering other music clubs Rhythm Nation 1814 should get 9x platinum and janet. 8x platinum.

I will love to see RN 1814 certified 9Xplatinum this year and who knows maybe in the future a remasterization could give her the diamond certification she deserves for this amazing album.

"Rhythm Nation" was only 5x Platinum before the Soundscan era and it's only scanned 1.4 million during the Soundscan era.

It's BMG sales are 1.1 million total, not just in the Soundscan era.

That's 7.5 million in known sales. The known sales of "janet" are 7.9 million (when record club sales at Columbia House were at an all-time high) "Control" at 6.4 million.

This song eventually peaked at #119 as far as I know. I don't see her doing a performance. This song isn't dance and I'm not seeing her standing on a stage singing this... :-?

I would be so HURT if one of pop's legends stops and does movies only! She is an icon and needs to remain so in music!

Yes I read the same thing but is for this year I guess because Janet will do another movie with Tyler, also sharing set with Mariah maybe after that sheŽll get back to record another record and please Janet TOUR!!!!!!! all over the world!!!

I refuse to believe it! If it is true, I think she will be persuaded to record another album down the line.
