  • ’Alright’ is on YouTube.

    • ’All Nite’ on YouTube, but not on Janet’s official channel.

      • Both video have been unlocked rather than uploaded, so Alright is on 1.2M and All Nite is on 2.5M

        • Hopefully the video for All Nite will be moved to Janet's offical channel asap.

Also neither video is remastered to HD but note they also took a few days to "remaster" Together Again and some other videos after they were unblocked back in October.

            • That’s incredible. Only Runaway(for the main videos) is missing.

              • Kind of sad there are no new certs yet.
They could at least do Australia which seems easier.

It is kinda annoying that she doesn't care about these things.

                  • There are still alternate video versions that might not ever get uploaded to her YouTube channel

                    - Love Will Never Do (Original Black & White Version)
                    - That's The Way Love Goes (One Take Version)

                    • I feel like maybe her team is small so they're focusing on the YouTube uploads right now.

                      • Janet streams are rising in the midst of Janet Jackson Appreciation Day tomorrow.

I didn't know Rock With U is gold in Japan and eligible for Gold in the U.S.?

Unblocked after 7 years but Kworb updated that it saw 32k views yesterday. I don't know what the deal was with so many of her A&M-era videos being blocked (as well as Virgin releases) but this should've been sorted out a long time ago. Now we await All Nite, Best Things and Runaway to be re-uploaded/unblocked (forget about Dream Street, she's letting that be rotten with the cobwebs! ).

Don't be surprised if the video just gets moved to her offical account.

"What's It Gonna Be?!" was moved to Busta Rhymes' offical page last year. Before then, it was on another account. I'm not sure how long it will take Janet's team to notice the video isn't on her main account tho. Hopefully it gets moved once they remaster it to HD.

Doesn't Really Matter should be a Gold single in Japan. It sold 83,210 copies during it's 25 week run on the Oricon Singles chart. I'm sure at least 100,000 physical copies were shipped to retailers making it eligible for Gold status.

Of course it was never certified. I hope they eventually re-certify her whole catalog in Japan and also Australia as someone else mentioned. I'm sure there would be some surprises.

                                                ----
With 23 certified singles, Janet ranks in third place behind Whitney Houston and Madonna (both with 27) and Mariah Carey (38) for most RIAA-certified singles by a female artist in the 20th century. Overall she's in fourth place if you include Michael Jackson.

20th CENTURY ARTISTS WITH THE MOST CERTIFIED SINGLES (pre-1999)
                                                1. Elvis Presley (55)
                                                2. Mariah Carey (38)
                                                3. Michael Jackson (30)
                                                4. The Beatles (28)
                                                5. Whitney Houston (27)
                                                6. Madonna (27)
                                                7. Elton John (27)
                                                8. Janet Jackson (23)
                                                9. Billy Joel (20)
                                                10. Bruce Springsteen (15)
Scream is 2x Platinum but I don't think she's credited and only whoever Michael Jackson team is have to update and Got Til It's Gone should be going Gold this year becoming her first non American release single to be RIAA eligible I believe.

                                                • The Discipline album moved up 300% on Spotify in the past week due to the deluxe edition.

And I doubt it's even close for gold certification in the US. It'll need far more streams on Spotify and Apple Music and YouTube video views before it can be a contender.
It probably is Gold in Japan that song was popular in Japan and had the most impact in Japan heck they even sent her a video doing their own version of Rock With U and RIAJ and RIAA are two different certification companies Janet certs haven't been updated in Japan in only god knows how long.
