    Total riaa certs 23,500,000.

Mötley Crüe's Soundscan total Jan 2004 was 6,894,000.

Most of their certs seem up-to-date. The 1998 GH album is overdue a platinum cert, and their debut album might be close to 2xp.
The 1999 live album seem overdue a Gold cert as a 2cd, but the running time might fall short of the required 100 minutes.

By mid 90s all Mötley Crüe albums were still available at Columbia House record club, so Soundscan don't tell the whole truth.

Motley Crue Roars Back With New Album, Tour
        Motley Crue

        April 15, 2008, 7:00 PM ET

        Mitchell Peters, L.A.
In support of its first studio album with its original members in more than a decade, Motley Crue will embark on a 40-plus-city North American amphitheater tour, beginning July 1 at the Cruzan Amphitheatre in West Palm Beach, Fla., and wrapping Aug. 31 at the Post-Gazette Pavilion in Pittsburgh.

Produced by Los Angeles-based Live Nation, Crue Fest '08 will also feature rock acts Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Crue bassist Nikki Sixx's side band Sixx:A.M. The jaunt will support Motley Crue's forthcoming album "Saints of Los Angeles," due June 17 via Motley Records, the band revealed today (April 15) at a press conference in Los Angeles.

For those in a rush, tickets for Crue Fest '08 will go on sale immediately through TheRockvine.com. Beyond today, ducats will be available in select cities via LiveNation.com beginning Friday (April 18). Through Live Nation's deal with Citi, the company's card members can purchase pre-sale tickets today through Friday via privatepass.citi.com.

Partners for Crue Fest '08 include JVC Mobile Audio, MTV's "Rock Band," Best Buy, Fuse TV, Lotus and TheRockvine.com. "Rock Band" will sponsor an area at each tour stop where concertgoers can play the game. In addition, a Crue Fest '08 sampler, featuring tracks from each band on the tour, will be available exclusively at Best Buy beginning June 17.

Motley Crue's most recent tour in 2005/2006 grossed $46.3 million and drew more than 960,000 people to 125 concerts, according to Billboard Boxscore.

Giving fans a brief taste of its upcoming album and tour, members of Motley Crue -- Vince Neil, Nikki Sixx, Mick Mars and Tommy Lee -- performed the title track of "Saints of Los Angeles" at today's press conference. The track features backing vocals from members of Buckcherry, Papa Roach, Trapt and Sixx:A.M., and is reminiscent of Motley Crue's hair metal roots.

The single and accompanying video were released today to television and radio, and the track is currently available for purchase on iTunes and through the wildly popular "Rock Band" video game.

"Saints of Los Angeles" is Motley Crue's first studio album since 2000's "New Tattoo," which has sold 203,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The band's last studio effort with all of its original members was 1997's "Generation Swine," which debuted and peaked at No. 4 on The Billboard 200, and has sold 306,000 units.

Mötley Crüe has released a ridiculous amount of compilation albums. Even two with the same title. 1998 and 2009 Greatest Hits sets:

From the soundscan information above we can determine catalog sales between April 2002 and April 2007:

Too Fast For Love - 64,614
Shout At The Devil - 104,713
              Theatre Of Pain - 33,395
              Girls Girls Girls - 48,432
              Dr. Feelgood - 96,991
Decade Of Decadence - 2,201 (out of print?)
              Mötley Crüe - 12,370
              Generation Swine - 11,542
              Greatest Hits - 244,314
              Supersonic & Demonic Relics - 12,789
Live: Entertainment or death - 94,361
              New Tattoo - 45,561

Not surprisingly Greatest Hits was their biggest catalog seller in this period, making the former compilation Decade Of Decadence obsolete.
Of course now Red, White & Crüe and Greatest Hits (2009) have made the '98 GH obsolete too.

Shout At The Devil and Dr. Feelgood are their best studio album catalog sellers. The debut is 3rd, surprisingly ahead of Theatre Of Pain and Girls Girls Girls.
(it's also superior to those two, imo anyway )

This Band rocks somewhere in the 80´s but Dr Feelgood Killed It in 1989 and maybe that´s the reason why it sold that well, also Kickstart My heart and Without You did really well anyways thanks so much for posting this dane

I actually like Dr. Feelgood, but Shout At The Devil is my fave album.

Their biggest achievement must be releasing 4 studio albums in a row going 4 x platinum!

                      How many others did that!
