I have listened to this numerous times and I would like to make a new prediction for OH santa's digital sales and MC11Y album sales estimations

                    1.5mill plus for MC11Y

2 mill plus for Oh Santa digital

Haters hate, haha, but thats what I think

It depends of how her messy label handle this. But it has potential, I agree.

                        Some historical info:

Mimi's Merry Christmas album was released November 1, 1994; the new one is set for release November 2, 2010.

"All I Want For Christmas is You" didn't debut on Billboard's Hot 100 Airplay chart until the 12/24/94 chart- it peaked at No. 12 and spent 3 weeks on. The following year, it re-entered the 12/30/95 airplay chart, and logged 2 weeks on.

I'd think the new single will get enough sales before the holidays kick in to debut on the Hot 100, but I wouldn't expect too much in the way of airplay until after Thanksgiving hits. But, even then, "All I Want For Christmas is You" may end up getting more overall airplay (which wouldn't be too surprising).

Which would't be too surprising? You are comparing a song with 16 years to other song which was released yesterday. It's so good to know there are chart experts on UK Mix.

AIWFCIY usually gets at least 40M impressions per week around december, while Mariah's latest singles struggled to reach even half of that, so yes, it won't be a surprise if AIWFCIY plays more than OS

But how is it remotely possible to say such thing about a song that came out less than 24 hours? This is what I do not understand. You talk as if she hadn't any hit last year. Let's stop the comparasions. It removes the seriousness of this thread. Just saying.

He's not saying that Oh santa will flop. RELAX boy.. He's saying that since the moment AIWFCIY is such a REAL CLASSIC song there wil be no need to be surprised of if it'll get mor airplay than the new single.
He didn't even said that it's for sure that Oh santa will get less airplay.. it's just possibile.
